Sunday, June 16, 2024 (HOL) - The mayor of Garowe, the capital city of Puntland, Abdiqadir Mohamed Mohamud Geeddi, has ordered Ethiopians in Garowe to leave immediately. Otherwise action will be taken against them, threatening those who fail to obey the order to be deported by force handcuffed and tied up.

He said, "We've done everything to welcome them in Puntland, but now time has come for them to be sent back".

The second biggest city in Puntland, Gaalkacyo, recently deported all Ethiopians and has completely banned Ethiopians from its substate.
