Apart from a young Canadian/American white guy adopted by a Somali family, and a few fuc'king Galla who are falsely claiming that they're either Somali or originally Somali just to assimilate to the Somali people to erase their own fuc'king Galla background, no one else speaks Somali fluently, despite the fact that there's a large number of white people speaking Somali and who've also written books on Somali literature in Somali!

To master Somali language takes an eternity, and yet.

False. You can speak Cantonese fluently after two years of learning it. Many non Chinese speak it fluently after having studied it just for two years.

On the other hand, I know a guy who has been studying Somali for over 60 years now and who has even written a good number of books on Somali literature in Somali, yet he doesn't really speak it fluently.

To counter ur point, I have seen ppl learn zat language in 1-2 years, and cantonese has tones, difficult to pronounce z words, etc. while somali isn't as difficult.

Cut the cra'p. You don't fuc'king speak Somali. Therefore, you don't really know how difficult or easy it's.

Both the white guys are very far from speaking it fluently.

The reason why people who have been learning Somali for so long time and yet can't speak it fluently is that they focus on the Somali literature, while they haven't covered the basics yet, simply because they've heard and read that Somali literature is very rich.

For example, Romance/Latin languages, such as Italian, French, etc, have gendered nouns, and apart from Latin, they've two genders - masculine and feminine. While Germanic languages, particularly German, have three genders, like Latin.

Romance languages have definite two articles, while German has got three.

How many definite articles are in Amharic?

We all know, learning a language is a progress, which can even take a lifetime. But having difficulties, for instance, with article declension, etc, after 40 years, is no longer a progress. And trust me some of these people have written a bunch of books on the Somali literature in Somali.

This difficulty has nothing to do with the learning abilities of these white people speaking Somali, but the Somali language itself, which is complex.

All foreigners speaking Somali have been posted on YouTube. If you know others who rather speak fluently, please go ahead and post them here.

WAW MY ABYSSINIALADY AKA EDEN AKA SARCASM AKA KERENITE, BRAZER/SIS/STAR/THEY/WE/HE-SHE/ IS DESPERATE 2 PROVE SHE'S ''SOMALI.'' IT'S OKAY SIS-STAR/BRAZER, U R INDEED SOMALI, AND I AM MONGOLIAN. ANYWAYS. IT'S QUITE SIMPLE: ANY LANGUAGE CAN BE MASTERED IN DUE TIME, IF U STUDY HARD, CONSISTENTLY, AND PRACTICE WITH Z NATIVE SPEAKERS. SOMALI LANGUAGE BEING COMPLEX OR NOT, DOES NOT MAKE IT AN EXCEPTION 2 ZIS BASIC RULE.

^ZIS SIS-STAR BECAME FLUENT IN ''SADDEX SANO'' OR THREE YEARS. ALL Z SOMALIS GAVE HER Z STAMP OF APPROVAL. AS WELL.
AND YES I HAVE AGAZIAN AGAME BRAZERS AND SIS-STARS WHO LIVED AMONG Z NICE SOMALIS PPL, AND LEARNED Z LANGUAGE IN ABOUT 2.5-3 YEARS AS WELL; 2 ZE POINT ZEY R WERE FLUENT. THEY SPENT A LOT OF TIME BEING IMMERSED IN IT-MEANING ZEY SPOKE IT DAILY WIT Z SOMALIS.

When one doesn't speak Amharic, they think it's an original and authentic language due to its script. While in reality, its' full of Arabic words.

In Amharic, there are only two definite articles; one for feminine nouns and the other for masculine nouns, just like Romance languages.

Masculine nouns
After a consonant: -ኡ -u
After a vowel: -ው -w

Examples:
ቤት ‘House’ becomes ቤቱ ‘The house’
ውሻ ‘Dog’ becomes ውሻው ‘The dog’

Feminine nouns
After a consonant or a vowel: -ዋ -ʷa

And all plural nouns, whether masculine or feminine, take the suffix -ኡ -u:

Guess what - in Somali, there are seven articles!

As I said it earlier, in German, there are three definite articles - Der, Die, Das; masculine, feminine, and neutre. And due to this, which is the start of the hassle, many people, including the American writer, Mark Twain, who called German language, "The awful language", find German very hard. Yet, there are tips out there that help you identify which article goes with which noun. These tips cover over 70% of the German nouns.

Again, guess what - in Somali, I reiterate, we've got seven definite articles, and nothing whatsoever tells which article goes with which noun. And to master this, it takes an eternity, unless you immerse yourself in the Somali language, like a few Galla in Somalia do. Otherwise, you'll always have troubles mastering the complexity of the Somali language by just reading and writing in the Somali language, which is typically the case of the whites speaking Somali.
