Irrespective of your motive, I wholeheartedly concur with you regarding our original flag in Eritrea. When I was growing up in Keren (during the ethio colonial period), I recall my parents were hiding our flag in a hole which was not reachable to any.

The amiches and the deQi torserawit who are the majority here at mereja hardly know the history of our flag. They don't even know that the present Vietnamese looking higdef flag was designed by their god issu when he was high in a bar. He designed it alone.

The current Flag has at least a symbol in particular the red one which symbolizes all the sacrifices which were made to gain and protect our independence and sovereignty. What does meley represent? It was donated by the United Nations.

For your info, there was Eritrean Parliament voted by the people of Eritrea who voted for the original flag of Eritrea. Only a parliament is supposed to change it. I have no problem with the present flag if we have another popular congress or parliament who would recognize it. It has been imposed on the Eritrean people by unelected government over thirty years running. Are you surprised why even Abbiy dared to threaten the sovereignty of Eritrea ? Do you really follow the dangerous path Eritrea has travelled ?
