For over 70 years Ethiopia enjoyed the status of a mercenary state that occasionally invaded and occupied its neighboring sovereign nations at the order of its masters. However, the current ongoing conflicts in Ethiopia has drastically limited the country's ability to provide mercenary forces that will fight someone else's wars in far away lands.

The news of Kenya sending mercenary troops to occupy Haiti has been greeted with harsh criticism, because many Kenyans don't want to be the next Ethiopia that inflicts harm on the black race.

Haiti was the first country to be freed by African slaves who revolted against the French slave masters to win their independence in 1804. The Western world however refused to recognize Haiti's independence and they imposed trade embargo and sanctions to force the country back into slavery. France sent its warships to surround the island nation and demanded that its former slaves pay her 150 million francs in compensation over the loss of its slaves, or suffer the consequences.

Facing mass starvation due to the encirclement, Haiti finally caved to France's demands in order to secure its hard-won independence. But the new nation didn't have the money to pay France, so it was forced to take out loans from French banks at high interest rate. Now get this....

220 years later Haiti is still making payments on its loan to French banks!!!!!!!

Ethiopia may resent the fact that the only job its good at has been awarded to Kenya, and Kenyans may be apprehensive over the possibility of becoming another Ethiopia, but the truth of the matter is, Kenyans are right and Ethiopians are wrong. Whatever is happening to Ethiopia at this moment could also happen to Kenya at any moment, because Karma has its way of taking care of things. I feel sorry for the Kenyans.
