Grown men here, in their 20s, 30, some in their 40s, arguing about whose poor country (ethiopia or eritrea) is better?!

Post by Sadacha Macca » 05 Apr 2024, 18:38

This forum is becoming just that: people from two of the poorest countries on earth, ethiopia and eritrea, insulting, demeaning, arguing, etc.
What does it accomplish? Who does it help? If we were competing on ideas to invest back home, or other tangible things; that'd be impressive and much needed.
I admit, I do admire Eritreans for many things, however, I do not think some of them are justified in feeling so superior. They also, have their share of flaws, problems, etc. Not as much as ethiopia, of course, because our countries much bigger.
This is not the humble and respectful demeanor that I've encountered when meeting Eritreans in real life (I used to live in parts of Georgia where many east africans resided- oromo, amara, eritrean, somali, etc).
Hating ''agames'' is one thing, because you and they have fought since the time of alula and before probably, while also allying at times, to the point your elders named a road ''libi tigray,'' but to hate all of ethiopia, especially groups in the deep south who do not even think of eritrea at ALL; is foolishness to say the least.

Sadacha,

Boy,

Don't get upset with these guys calling you "Ascari eritrean", I think they're just learning from you - calling people what they're not.

I support your argument, by the way. I've spoken about the same issue a few times, but nothing has changed. I think an intervention from Elias Kifle is what is required.

After all these years of war and destruction between Eritrea and Ethiopia, if you still believe, it was about bragging, who will be called richer or poorer, then, that is what I call a big problem. Much bigger than any war that we have gone through yet.

What does that have to do with this forum though, a forum of random people mostly (if not all) in the diaspora, who have no influence on what occurs, or what occurred back home?
Look at what your fellow Eritreans post to demean Ethiopia, that's why I mention the poverty, because Eritrea ain't rich, far from it; our region in general ranks among the most under-developed and poverty-stricken.

Sadacha Macca,

You started out acting as a grown up man in the forum, but you unnecessarily brought up the respected general and governor , Ras Alula Abanega and defamed him to make those from Eritrea province feel happy to the satisfaction of their fake narratives. Why the need to sacrifice reputed people to activist fabricator. Alula Abanega as governor of Eritrea established Asmara city, paid huge sacrifice warding of invaders. He did his part. He did not sell 1 million Eritreans as slaves to Arabs and the Middle East - unlike Jimma Abajifar who sold every year 1 million Oromo and Janjero/Yem. It is this insincere Eritrean mercenaries that authored "ye' burqaw Zimita" and handed out zealot Orommuma to destabilize Ethiopia. If it is about leaving the past behind us, it is unnecessary and unacceptable to defame world class legends patriots such as Emperor Menelik II and Ras Alula Abanega, and others.

First, come clean and contribute to positive discussion.

Miss rock,

Yes, we ''gallas'' are ''big, bad, uncivilized,'' and etc; yet we're all you can talk about. You cry about us online 24-7, perhaps crying about us using other accounts on here too. For us to be so big, bad, evil, etc; we sure are prominent enough for you and other people on here to cry about 24-7, for YEARS upon YEARS. No need for me to disrespect Amara's or others, because 1: you ain't Amara, and 2: Individuals are to be insulted, if need be, not entire nations. But, perhaps, that's too much for a simple mind to comprehend.

Abere,
Where did I say anything bad about alula and others? I simply said they were fighting him, because they didn't want to be apart of his realm, empire, etc. Like any other historical figure, there's supporters and non-supporters, he had victims and he had soldiers, he did good, and he did bad, etc.
You need to read to comprehend, prior to emotional responding, and what's funny is: I guessed what you were gonna say: a bunch of nonsense emotional ranting, with a sprinkling of ''oromummaa'' blah blah blah, the same non-creative stuff you and others have been posting for years.
It's getting old guys. Think of some new anti-Oromo insults at least. We've heard these same ones for years.

Alula Abanega as governor of Eritrea established Asmara city,

You’re getting dumber and dumber by the day. What history class did you read this fake story? It looks as if your school level never pass ከቄስ ትምህርት ቤት።

First off, Alula wasn’t even set his agame foot when Asmara was established by the women of four villages , Asmara districts today, who held a meeting and agreed to form a joint one mega city to defend themselves while their husbands are all gone to war to fight the Turks who were coming up the hills towards Asmara. Hence, the name አስመራ or United in Eritrean Tigrena. Alula was also never a General, rather, a warlord who goes to from one village to another to loot even from his own people. Furthermore, when Alula decided to venture to the highlands of Eritrea, including Asmara, Ras Woldemichael of central government of Eritrea, including Asmara, beat the shiተout of this rag tag warlord and send him packing towards his region. Alula was never stayed in Eritrea.

Of course, you people made Alula some kind of general as well as a hero just to get smooth out your harsh relationship and completion you had with Agames. Menelik used this “sweet talk” to get accepted to rule Tigray by promoting one of their warlords as hero. If he didn’t do that, he would have to fight and lose many men in the process just to get Tigray.

Now, if Alula, the warlord, was such a hero and a “governor” of Eritrea, how in the hell do a few hundred foreigners, the Italians, occupied Eritrea while his a’ss is a “governor” of Eritrea? Does this make sense? Of course, to the people like you who are delusional and grew up with fake stories , it does make sense.
