There is no reason Ethiopia to trust Eritrea, djibouti and Somalia. If Ethiopia hesitates Somaliland has nothing to loose .

In my view Djibouti and Somalia are playing a losing game. We all know that Djibouti has critical economic interest and Somalia .security needs. But they can not meet their needs at the expense of Somaliland's critical political and economic interest (recognition & other economic deals) and Ethiopia's critical interest for a navy base.

What Djibouti is particular need to do is secure a good part of commercial use of the port by Ethiopia and support the MOU. At the end of the day SLR recognition will happen by another country if not Ethiopia. Djibouti can not forever be able to block SLR recognition. It is better she attends to her interest instead of trying to stop SLR and Ethiopia. To some degree, the case is the same with Somalia. Let us some country some where recognizes SLR, then what can Somalia do? Nothing.

So both of these countries simply being emotional. SLR's recognition might take some time but they have way of stopping it.
