It's really funny that he has got the habit of holding foreign dignataries' hand, or placing his hands on their lap. Not only is this behaviour treated as undiplomatic and unethical, but also, many people find this quite annoying.
He doesn't even know that countries like the UK, handshakes are unpopular, leave alone holding someone else's hand for an extended period of time.
