I agree with you that Ethiopia and SLR move fast create realities on the ground. Somalilanders and Ethiopians live on the ground. They will eventually determine the final outcomes. My guess is that Adwal folks want to to be part of the game in terms of commercializing Zeila.

It is all a game of economics and some power. Very soon Turkey will face the complex issues of Somalian politics and the Horn of Africa.

Clan politics is less destructive. Ethnic politics is a disaster in my opinion. For example the Somali ethnic group are generally fascists they don't respect any international borders.
