This is why I support Abiy. He is good for Somalia.
The #AU in its recently released communique explicitly asserts that Somaliland is part of Somalia hence CANNOT get into an agreement with a foreign country. GUUL #Somalia #Hanoolaato.
Re: Somaliland dreams of becoming a country have been shattered by #AU. Thanks to Abiy
It is called code of ethics even when to achieve Political Correctness to not offend either party. AU cannot outright claim Somaliland is a sovereign country although in reality knows it is already and has matured enough the natural stage in the making. I think Somalia should tone down and accept the reality.

Somaliland has no plans to for ever reunite with Somalia. There is nothing you can contribute to our peaple, absulutely Zero. You can't even help your own self . For the last 33 years we outperformed you in every Field of the human development index, without any recognition or any foreign assistance. The same can be expected next 3 decades. You are not gaining any thing from us. Put your energy to stand on your own feet.

False. AU has no capacity to deny the aspiration of Somalilanders. The people of Somaliland have all the power to decide their own destiny and how they want to live their lives. In fact, so long as AU sticks to colonial and neo-colonial legal fictions, it will continue to become irrelevant to the realities of Africa. AU can not force Somaliland to live under Mogadishou against the will of the Somaliland Republic. All else is noise.

Whilst Ethiopia continues to fragment and disintegrate. Somalia rises and grows to be more powerful. Gurage have more chance of independence. War torn Ethiopia on the decline.Abere wrote: ↑18 Feb 2024, 14:43It is called code of ethics even when to achieve Political Correctness to not offend either party.
