You are right if the guest is suggesting direct political relations between a region and a country. Maybe I am being naïve but the idea is to influence events in the country that enables positive relationships between the two countries.

I always get amused by the logic and reasoning of these people, although this kind of 'justification' to barbaric acts isn't only indicative of the moral decadence, but also empirically indicative of the tag of IQ63.

You are not alone in that. There is simply a lack of general awareness of norms that must apply to maintain healthy relationships with each other in this society.

It reminds me of a Sudanese story about a father who lost his son in a car accident while riding a bicycle. The Sudanese father was forgiving and he said to the driver, I have no grudge against you. It was an accident and above all it was God's will and therefore you are completely forgiven by me.

The driver was so happy that he went directly to town and bought a new bicycle and came home to the boy's father to hand him over the bicycle. By this he wanted to show his gratitude.

To his shock, the father got so angry and pissed off that he went straight to the police and reported him for murdering his son. The rest is history since that is the legal system in Sudan.

To find such individual stupid cases like the above could be accepted. But, when a country with a lot of different ethnic groups exhibit such stupidities is a mystery for me.

Do you believe that’s the reason why old buildings in Asmara are deteriorating? I am familiar with UNESCO’s heritage & reconstruction act. The guideline doesn’t prohibit restoration work. Rome, Fasiledes, Lalibela etc are also world heritage sites but restoration efforts are ongoing. Otherwise, it would be pointless to keep historical buildings without restoring & preserving them.

The vast majority came with ill intentions while there were good youth among them who were visiting the country; but they were far in between. Nonetheless, during the 3 month, rape, kidnapping, robbery, “hangging”, car theft, fake currency distribution and murders were increased by 10000%. Almost all these crimes were unheard of in Eritrea before then. What these crimes were doing today in their own kilil unabated were repeating it by 100s due to the hate also they were harboring against Eritrean people. Only these crimes were stopped completely when the government shut down the border and began picking all Tigrean youths who were already and send them to gallows based on the crime they committed. Any government would have build an electric fences to protect its citizens from those deadly chemicals.

I am aware how safe & peaceful Eritrea is, with no crime whatsoever. I also know how the government controls every movement & aspects of life in the country although it’s none of my business.

I also don’t have any issue with the insulting and belittling going on between TPLF & HIGDEF cadres. Because that’s what cadres are trained to do. But I will always voice my opinion whenever tribes and countries are collectively & blindly attacked. FYI - I often use the term “CADRE” to refer to folks who are completely indoctrinated to only parroting the goals and ideologies of political groups without any seeds of reasoning. If that’s your role here, then yes you are a cadre.

While you are accusing Tigreans of crossing the border to loot Eritrean properties, they accuse you in return of ransacking Tigray & corrupting Addis. Trust me, there are bad apples and wrong-doers everywhere in all societies but it’s wrong to portray all Tigreans or Eritreans as such and implying that only a fence would stop them. It’s evil in principle & impractical & a mere sensation in reality. And no one has the capacity to build such a border wall, be it Ethiopia or Eritrea.
