The bragging of the ownership of the Geez alphabet is no more surprising than the 3000 years of fake history that has been regurgitated for decades now. We, Eritreans are used to their flabagasting nature. But, as you may know, the Geez language (and its alphabet) was introduced to present-day Eritrea and spread south to today's northern Ethiopia primarily as a language for liturgy. However, because the characters of the Geez Alphabet were not adequate to fully cover their various phonetics, some of the characters have been modified in both Eritrea and Ethiopia. But that does not change the basic inheritance of the Geez language. Yet some Ethiopians falsely love to state that Amharic is the sole inheritance of the Geez language. And of course, when you have some zombies like Horus, the guraghe, everything, including the Eritrean landscape, is "Ethiopian". Maybe this jerk is related to the childish PM Abey.

Not only that, the likes of Horus want to shove their philosophy up the Oromo, Afari, Somali, and all the southern peoples' mouths.

If you are saying that Africans are thinking to use long dead Geez fidel, it means that they are also just as clueless as your baboon self being on their death beds just like the dead Geez fidel. It will take them some 500 years before they come to make any sense out this dead Geez language because it has never been meant to be spoken other than in abstract ritual religious chanting by very few closed door sniffing and smoking clergies.

What bothers people with common sense is the way some Ethiopians love to claim anything they wish whether it is theirs or not. Is that a disease or what? The fact is, as sesame alluded, the closest language to Geez is as follows:
1) Tigre (ትግራይት), (the second most widely spoken language in Eritrea), and parts of the Sudan.
2) Tigrinya (ትግርኛ), (the most widely spoken language in Eritrea), and parts of Ethiopia.
3) Amharic (ኣማርኛ) (the farthest semblance to Geez), in that order!
That is the facts on the ground - no matter how much whining and denying you do.
