There's nothing wrong with travelling on bus for such a short distance. After all, they're not God's angels from the heaven, they're just human beings like any other.
FYI, buses were used to ferry dignitaries, including world leaders and international royalties, to a reception with the new King of the United Kingdom and head of the Commonwealth at Buckingham Palace, the UK, as well as to the grand state funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth.
