This was the uniform worn by Ethiopian soldiers under EPRDF for 30 years it resembles the Shabian Uniform worn by Eritreans. In 2019 Abiy decided to remove this uniform from all regions except Tigray so it is now only remembered as Tigray - TDF uniform



By summer/spring of 2019 all old uniforms were replaced by Amhara police Commision as well afar and oromia changed their uniforms I believe this was done to help differentiate the police of different kilils in fact this may have been done by Abiy to prepare war in Tigray. As Tigrean soldiers had to be easily spotted out.
