Somaliland is Stealing the Spotlight in UN Security Council: A Prelude to Recognition

Somaliland is Stealing the Spotlight in UN Security Council: A Prelude to Recognition

The unwise collusion of the Sheik of Somalia with Egypt and her black puppies created a golden opportunity for Somaliland not only in stealing the Spotlight in the UN but also to activate the underlying interest of Somaliland officially. The right to self-determination is not something the UN can give or deny; however, the case of Somaliland's hard won independence of 33 years and their persistence quest for it stands tall before the eyes of the members of the NGO (UN). The Sheiki of Somalia, thanks to Egypt and its black puppies will drop point and Somaliland will score a historically transforming victory. Somalia should have listened to this saying "Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty and the pig likes it". However, Somalia being ill-advised by Egypt and Co. will come home empty hand, although their belly will be filled with lost too good to be true says from the NGO of the UN. Many folks think this is Somalia vs. Ethiopia - mostly Egypt's loyalist and servants. No, it is not about Ethiopia vs. Somalia. Somalia and Somaliland have been separated 33 years ago. The MoU signed lately created a golden opportunity for Somaliland; and now, it will no more be a dormant in status. It is activated and no one can stop - even Ethiopia kept out of the equation. Nations can be re-born or new nations can be born, UN has no mandate on this.

Poor Abere, you are assuming Tigray proportion self-deception. But that is the result when one swings like a pendulum.

Guragie Abere,

First and foremost, your love for Somali Land is fake. Even, if Somali Land is recognized, Ethiopia access to the sea is only parking for Ethiopia newly organized very primitive maritime forces call it security. No more no less, according to the Somali Land President. The RedSea and the Gulf of Eden security forces are the home of the most powerful countries equipped with nuclear submarines. Does primitive poor country Ethiopia has the capacity to guard the RedSea and the Gulf of Eden with the likes of China, USA and many other powerful countries ? Listen monkey, what Ethiopia needs is to shop around, for bargain prices to the port access , paying tariff to the surrounding countries with access to ports. Assab is not equipped therefore, look elsewhere. As far as the recognition of Somali Land is concerned, the little twerp should throw something on the plate first. I wish all Somalis including Somali Land peace, prosperity and harmony. Somalia and Somali Land need to be reasonable and find a solution to live in harmony. After all, they are all Somalis including those in Ogaden, Ethiopia.

The illusion played in the Sesame street of Asmara city is at odds with the reality in the modern city of Hargeisa, Somaliland. There is a lot to learn from Somaliland. It made the smartest move, no war fought only economic progress. Violence/war is the drama of mad people in urban streets - can this be added in the sesame street

You are living in a completely peach darkness of frustration and loss. I can assuredly say you are at loss.
Today, you lost for Ethiopia - your frustrations and hopelessness is clear in your writings. For tomorrow, we can only predict the winner always wins. Somalia does not exist, you should fear off you may not likely exist too. Birds of the same feather fly together and catches the same bird disease

Somali Land has lay down the foundations to prosperity. Recognition will come on its own pace. Don’t put too much energy on it. Rather spend more time to work out relationships with punt land and Somalia. Learn how other countries like Canada and Mexico cultivated a beneficial relationship with the US.
Mini states in the Horn of Africa are trouble. Just look at how South Sudan and Eritrea manufactured the world’s biggest refugees. They are constantly sniffing troubles every where. Tigray is in the same category. Somali Land has to avoid that trap.

You Ethiopians have to realise only somaliland can give you the maritime platform you need without sacrificing one single life of your ENDF troops. All other horners are working against you including djibouti.

There Will never be war between you and Somalis because of the MoU. You take the risk of any diplomatic backlash (which is very unlikely) and we take the risks to deal with the Somali nationalists and terrorists. Obviously we are taking more risks than you. We can even solve the issue between us and China on our own , we don't need you to be involved between us and China . When it comes to financing, we know you are broke , We are more related to the UAE.

Just don't be political cowards. Because if you step back one inch we will step back one thousand miles and we have nothing to loose. In fact we will join your enemies.

J,
By the way we are talking about a Post Abiye relationship between Somali Land, punt Land and Somalia. This conspiracy crazy PM is not capable of doing anything good. Forget about it.
What is exciting surrounding this issue is that Somali Landers have figured it out how to move forward. The next step is bringing Somalia and punt land on board.
Ethiopia has no issue with Djibouti and it will use Djibouti for part of its traffic through Djibouti, Kenya and port Sudan. It is upto this nations to work out a free trade agreement favourable to Ethiopia.
The only mini-state Ethiopia should stay away at any cost is Eritrea. Because of its service to Egypt as proxy and also Until the issue of Afars and Tigrai is resolved.

Eventually the whole horn will be united in one way or the other , it should be that way , we are behind the world . The mini states withing Ethiopia are more problematic. The tigrays have learned their lesson, the Amhara FANOS must be handled the same way. Why only blame Eritrea , you have far more worse groups withing Ethiopia.

Somaliland is against any one who is not working to be progressive. We don't have to fight each an other for ever.
