Regardless, your Guragie behind is Bantu.
What really does Bantu mean, old man. Can you elaborate on it ? I am getting under your ጫት infested behind. Don’t I ? Damn it. Stupid Guragie. . ጉራጌ ደግሞ ሰው ነው!

saho are habesha mixed with afar
Mesob wrote: ↑27 Jan 2024, 21:35Habeshaness is a fluid, not a static identity. It is like borders that expand and contract depending on many factors. There are Afro Semetic people from the north Tigrayt speakers as Habeshas past the Afro-Semetic Guragie people in the center who may be Christians or Muslims, Amhara or Tigrayan Jeberti Muslims, Agaw Kushetic people in Ethiopia and Agaw Bilen in Eritrea.
Some former Habesha people along the periphery may not identify themselves now as as Habeshas, along the Sudanese border. The are people in southern India that still identify themselves as Habesha.
There are clusters of people in the Arab world who call themselves as Habeshi, not as ethnic but as sub-ethnic group because they believe they are originally from Abyssinia.
This way or that way, there is a culture, skin tone or colour, way of life, tradition, ancestry ... that can be called Habesha that belongs to the Habesha world, as there are Europeans or Ferenji, Arab, Chinese, Native American world ... to some extent.
The fact remains, the core of the Habesha identity is the old Abyssinia, mostly Ethiopia and to some extent Eritrea.
Mesob wrote:Until recently, the older Saho, Bilen and Tigrayit (Tigre) in Eritrea considered themselves the real Habeshas. This is fully documented by the Italian social anthropologists who conducted the field research.
If you have been among the Saho Muslims during a Mewlid holiday celebration, they have a beautiful song in Saho that they sing in unison praising the Habesha kings for providing refuge to Mohammed's family, allies and companions. In the song, there is chorus that ends in Habesha! Habesha! Habesha!
To them, the song is praising their ancestors.
The only exception are the Kunama, Nara, and probably the Afars close to the coast.

like this Welayta girl she can be considered Habesha. Omotic DNA can be found in Amhara people according to DNA results Amharas are 15-20% Omotic while Oromos are 30% Omotic.
actually this girl looks like the average jimman and tulama I see she has the same eyes as them.
Habesha are largely concentrated in Abysinnia so Gondar, Gojjam, Wollo, Tigray, Shewa, Gurage.

Re: Who are the real Habesha's?
The term 'habesha' seems to be complicated, with definitions varying, depending on who you ask. Some say it refers just to highlander groups, who are Orthodox and speak Amharic, or Tigrigna, or Agew language, etc. Some say it refers to all Ethiopians, some say it includes ALL Eritreans, etc.
For example, my family is Muslim Oromo {with some Silte}-from Jimma, also Bale, Adoola (Kebre Mengist in Amharic), etc, and some identify as 'Habesha' and some just say 'Ethiopian-Oromo.'
I've seen some Eritreans identifying as 'Habesha' and others who refuse to do so.
So, it's not a clear thing.

Re: Who are the real Habesha's?
where are abysinnians in Somaliland?
did we tell isaaq to make their own country?
why are Issaaq and dhulbante not forming one nation uniting with fellow somalis of Mocadgishu who are cushitic and muslim and lowlanders like them?
you cannot say HOA does not have differences it has many differences and cultures but these cultures can be clustered into lowland and highland groups
you just clearly tried to eliminate the abysinnian habesha identity as if a lowlander from afar/somali can live in gondar without noticing the uniqueness of the culture, tradition, people of the highlands.

false argument Somalis are the same people for the most people agree on the somalia unity with the exception of Somaliland just because they cant agree politically or on a national identity doesnt mean they are not the same people there are so many Arabs that arabs but have several nations so u can find Somalis in kenya ethiopia and Djibouti and some who want to break away but it is all not certain Since SL didnt really break away . and is in a state of limbo nevertheless its a poltiical touchy issue, that needs to be resolved to be honest. But having said that Habesha do also not want to be in the same state the eritreans pure habesha and the habesha in ethiopia also couldnt live together but i am not even sayng that u should divide ur habesha further i am just stating that agew are not ur people in terms of ur habashi identity . U Can absorb them lets see if they like that i doubt they would u can stay together amhara gurage and tigray and leave the rest alone of ethiopia we can essentially break up ethiopia into 3 new countries

In ancient times incense trading used to be very lucrative business some what equivalent to gold or diamond trading of today.
