What happened?

“When it comes to Somalia’s unity, this government cannot be tattled,” said Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed on Wednesday during a meeting with the central committee members of his party – video footage of which were released on Wednesday and Thursday on state-owned media.

He emphasized that there is no interest in conflict with Somalia. “Ethiopia has absolutely no interest in fighting against Somalia,” he said.

He also claimed efforts to unify Somalia by arranging a meeting between Somalia’s former president, Farmajo, and Somaliland President Musa Bihi Abdi.

Dr Abiy says he respects Somali unity and doesn't want problem. Why Galla here say something else? Are they disappointed with their PM. Are Galla showing their true colours, their hatred for Somalia.

The MoU is not worth the paper it's written on! Always keep that in mind.

Abiy Ahimed saying "PP commits to transformin the Mou with Somaliland into practical agreement" doesn't say much either. He may be forced to change what's in it to whatever he imagines may be acceptable. Somaliland already said it's not a port deal as it was reported by Abiy and his cadres. It also added that there will be no land without recognizing Somaliland. The show will be entertaining to say the least.

You're right, the whole thing is a comedy designed to entertain gullible people, like Abere aka Horus, who are easily persuaded to believe anything.

No, it doesn't open a single door for a recognition. Instead, it also serves to distract people in Somaliland and deflect them from the delayed elections in Somaliland, as the mandate/ term of the current fuc.ker in Somaliland expired in 2022 and that he has since been delaying elections, making up crisis after crisis, to further delay elections in order to prolong his expired mandate/term, as he knows perfectly well that he won't be re-elected.

See, the whole comedy is for personal gains.
