The first TPDM leader was from Tembien who was in charge of Gonder securities and anti Diqalu, after the split of woyane he left them and went to Kenya. Issayas securities recruited him and brought him to Asmara and handed him TPDM to lead, within short period of time he was killed, either by Issayas secruits due to not following Issayas instructions or as others say he was killed by Kunama ethnic Meles mercinaries. The last and second leader of TPDM is Mola Asgedom from Raya but all the fighters are from western Tigray except few were kidnapped from Agame and Shire border areas and some criminals escaped from arrest by Tigray authorities. There was no single fighter from the current Tembien but yes they are all from the old Tembien province aka western Tigray. BTW, TPDM was right to go after the Diqalu, while the rest failed.
