They poured ice on Abiy Ahimed's hot dreams. The message to Somaliland is "recognition is coming to you without whatever the childish PM put in the MOU. And we have to get AU's blessing and you need to hold a referendum in two years. "   The Brits are masters at plotting and leaving landmines that divides Africa to this day.

A nearly empty House of Commons is a sign that the issue of Somaliland Kilil is not very popular among British MPs.

But I understand why the agame give much importance to such debates, as they tend to replace the name Somaliland with Chigray in their minds to get that warm fuzzy feeling that completely overrides logical thinking. :P :P

The UK letter is a carefully worded diplomatic letter. It does not give the government of Somalia absolute right over Somaliland.

It says, "We believe that the settlement of Somaliland's status is an issue for Somalia and Somaliland to resolve. This requires a consultative process and dialogue in which the UK encourages both Somalia and Somaliland to engage."

Sarcasm the idiot, focus on the dumba’ssnet of Abiy.
No country would have objected the deal or the hoodwinking Abiy is trying to do if Somaliland was a UN recognuzed nation.
So what is your point here? Tell you dumb a’ss PM to wait until it is a sovereign nation and make deal with it.
We are not telling you the facts that as of now the MoU is dead on arrival in legal terms not because we care or less Ethiopia own other countries legal territories if that country doesn’t respect its territorial integrity, but the realities.
Abiy is creating friction between the Somalis by interfering in their internal affairs.
And from all the East African countries, Ethiopia is bordering with most of them and it is Ethiopia which is becoming pain in their behinds.
Which neighboring country is Ethiopia scared of that it is wasting its economy in buying (loans) armament instead of respecting its neighbors?
Ethiopia is a thorn which is created in the middle of all the roses countries.
And in a way it is its 120 million rats faults to see it become a cancer of the region.

What none sense are you spewing sarcasm/eden? What else did you expect the to say? If people of a nation want to part ways, isn't that up to them to do so and notify the rest of the world? What careful crafting does this basic rule require?

My post was a reply to Wordpad's assertion that the "UK stands with Somalia 1 million percent" - just to highlight that the UK letter does not give the government of Somalia absolute right over Somaliland.

It is a clear statement  The UK also said "Though Somaliland is not reocgnised, we already have that level [recognised state level] of co-operation with Somalilanders". It would be nice if we could see the bigger picture. That is all

Diplomatic language is not meant for idiots

The UK’s position on this issue is unchanged (which means the current government official position). It goes on saying that “alongside the African Union and other international partners, we do not recognize Somaliland’s declaration of independence. The UK’s respect for Somalia’s territorial integrity is clear and unwavering.

Here the message is clear that there is an hypothetical territorial integrity, which they respect, for the idiots at least.

Then follows the core message of the writing “we believe that the settlement of Somaliland’s status (which they respect "unwaveringly") is an issue for Somalia and Somaliland to resolve, which they encourage.

The conclusion (and central message) “together with international partners, we continue to encourage dialogue between Ethiopia and Somalia, and urge all involved to avoid escalation and any action that threatens stability in the wide Horn of Africa.

Idiots can never comprehend the message, which can simply be put as “stop”.

Idiots can think that the message is for Ethiopia to stop (not for Somalia to stop (and stop what)) and celebrate this as a defeat for Ethiopia.

That is what revelation has achieved in his over 70 years of political activism.

This is the most stupid spin Abiy Ahimed and his cadres can come up with for their disastrous Somaliland MOU.

Always entertaining their amateurish propaganda and spin on these two dedicated YouTube channels.
