Re: Do you know Ethiopia has 46 lakes and 5th in Africa following Tanzania?

Euroland

Why do you think Abere’s statement about the natural occurrences of ‘46 lakes’ in Ethiopia is ‘bragging?’ Should he keep quiet or lie that we have only 2-3 lakes?

If you inform ER readers that Eritrea is gifted with a 1000km long coastline, I would say ‘good for you!’. That’s how a level-headed sane neighbor should react. But strangely, of all African countries, you Eritreans got immediately irritated by the statement and downplayed the relevance of the lakes? Why?

Yes, Ethiopia is currently unable to feed itself just like all other African countries or countries that were unable to feed themselves in the past. But the lakes are there to stay for millennia, providing the basis for radical transformation when the right time comes.

Why is it that the African countries blessed with the most lakes and rivers suffer the worst impact of drought and food insecurity? :|
Great Question, but don’t expect any answer from these people. Having owning multiple lakes and rivers and yet you can’t feed your people; then what’s the use of it? I would be ashamed if I were them, to brag about all thaw nature resources and yet my government is extending its hand for handouts to feed its people year after year.

I think once started begging, it is an addiction. regardless of what you have and how wealthy you are, that is it. to top it off, you have a leader who is skilled expert in begging. that should help begging to be sever addiction.

His statement about having x number of lakes or rivers isn’t far fetched and no one disputes that and yes, Ethiopia is gifted in nature resources; my response was to his subsequent replies to other Eris where he seemed to threaten and label Eritrea as Egypt’s puppet which is ridicules. Something os itching him ever since the Con man in Arat Kilo signed the useless MoU. I wanted also to remind him and others that just having x amount of rivers or lakes is useless if one can’t use and feed its own people; which is true.

I understand but there is no reference to Eritrea in this thread and you could have replied to him in kind under the threads that he made those negative comments.

I also don’t agree with your claim that the lakes are useless. Although there may not be large scale hydroelectric or irrigation dam projects at some or most of those lakes, the lives of millions of communities still depend on them.

Would you agree if I say Assab port is useless, so Eritreans should never mention its existence?

Modern day scholars also named Ethiopia as the Water Tower of Africa.

That is why Ethiopia is the promise of Africa and termed as the Bread Basket of Africa. However, possessing something very precious comes with a lot envious evils roaming with swords. As usual, you're just talking nonsense after nonsense. You should instead go to school.

You should learn how to make the difference between theory and reality.

It can be said that Ethiopia is the bread basket of Africa in the same way that Africa can be said is the bread basket of the world. But in reality, neither Ethiopia nor Africa is a bread basket of anyone, including their own ar.ses, as they can't even feed their own fuc.king people, leave alone being the bread basket of someone else.

FYI, Ethiopia is one of the leaders in recipients of food/humanitarian aid in the world and the largest in Africa. As I'm typing this replying to your bullsh.it, over 20 million fuc.king Ethiopians are starving. Where's the bread basket! You're delusional, just like your Bantu monkey that you call prime minister, or monster.

You’re very dense! Yes, Africa is still the breadbasket of the World. Europe’s 50% fossil fuels, 30% minerals, and 20% food items alone come from Africa. China’s import from Africa amounts to $10 billion USD.

Its' all about figures, nothing qualitative. We all know that Africa's export volume is relatively significant, but does this reflect in proportion upon the quality of life or development back in Africa or your sh.ithole Ethiopia! Not really.

Somaliman ( fake Somalian),

If you are so pessimistic about Africa, why the hell are you here on the African Forum. If you have given up hope on Africa and of course fake Somalia, just leave us carrying with your dead hope and find Italian forum of your former colonial master. That will give you the chance to receive more likes, because you will l!ck their boots just like great great daddy.

Of course Africa has the world's largest resource but the continent has been victim of legacy of slavery and colonialism. The impoverishment of Africa is the prosperity of others - Africa has been food for the colonizers. Your great great daddy was scrambling eggs for your Italian masters while his stomach was aching for food.
