Let’s hope and pray for peace in us, for us and among us Horn Africans. Using the Horn to gore each other out never benefited any one. What it actually did to us has been one to go to war on another that ended up in the loss of millions of human lives and incalculable destruction of property. It also planted hatred and sense of revenge against one another that is still evident in this day and age. With the advent of social media animosity and bigotry are almost out of control. You add a sense of revenge to the mix, you have run away savagery. The killings and displacing of innocent poor citizens in certain regions of Ethiopia and the current beatings and possibly killings of defenseless and innocent refugees in Somalia are gruesome examples. But I am not giving up on humanity. Somehow level heads will prevail and the people of The Horn of Africa will live in peace. Insha’Allah!!!!!

Dear peace mongering countrymen/women,
Deep inside of me I still believe that after all these destructive wars that Horn of Africa had to endure since the 1970's after all these lethal animosity and nauseating name calling, after all these superior and inferior complexes, my dream of seeing that HOA becoming a region where my Oromos would assure their Amhara, Tigre, Somali, Afar and other neighbors saying ' Don't worry I got your back' and 'Amharas, Somalis, Tigre, Afar and other 80 neighbors reciprocating my Oromos with 'You don't need to worry, We got your back our dear neighbors'. Why not? They have been living in the same hood for thousands of years. They have been drinking from the same Awash, Nile, Wabi Shebele, Genale, Tekeze, Baro, Akobo and many other rivers since they found themselves in the HOA exclaiming 'Where am I now!'. All these bigots and faceless eyal-al-souks will die and peace will be the main currency with stability, prosperity and the pursuit of happiness as its only denominations. Insha'Allah!!!

Egypt, Egypt, Egypt! It never skip a beat! What is the purpose of corralling the leaders of Somalia at this time? If someone fully understands the long held sinister motive of Egypt, it is Brother Isaias. Those halawa drunk leaders in Al-Qahirah may think it is the best time for them to go in and punish those unruly abds/[ deleted ] in Ethiopia. I don’t think Brother Isaias or our level head brothers and sisters in Somali would buy into that. If el-Sisi decides to send some of his panhandled F-16’s and SU-35’s to harm the dam, then he can kiss and say goodbye to every spoonful of water from the Blue Nile forever. That will definitely create an alluvial tsunami from the silt already accumulated behind the dam which will force the river to flow backwards. He may try to use our Eritrean brothers and sisters as a decoy from the north to tie up the ENDF and then send his lard behind soldiers ‘well trained’ for jungle warfare and grab a swath of land around the dam. Ooo-wee! What a genius plan!!! I want you to pick a song of goodbye written to the tune of Otis Redding’s 1963 smash hit ‘Pain In My Heart’ and I will. serenade The Blue Nile with it.

In another related story the joint council of 119 political parties inside the country has just issued a communique showing support fot the MOU. But a den of bigots inside the country has condemned the MOJ as expected. This is a serious blow to the bigots there and here among us and also to our confused philosophers every where!

There is a sad news reported by AP about a UN personal kidnapped by the terrorist group Al-Shabbab after it made an emergency landing killing one and taking five others as hostages. I think housekeeping should be the priority there.

I just read news that the leader of The Somalia Region of Ethiopia has declared his unflinching support for the MOU between Somaliland and Ethiopia. Another group of Somalis in the Diaspora has expressed its support of the MOU in principle.

During all this commotion after the MOU was announced, my long held conviction in regards to sovereignty of countries has never changed including the right of a group of people to have and live in democratic governance, peace and stability. Where my conviction becomes shaky is when such country/group of people are told or forced to abandon their hard fought democratic way of life and be taken over by despots or those in disarray. One perfect example is Taiwan. I knew Taiwan when it was under the clutches of a dictator and also had seen it doing away despotism beginning the early 1980's. It has more than 4 decades of democratic governance now and it should never be forced to live under the clutches of those goons in Beijing. Somaliland situation has similarities with Taiwan but with a caveat. If the rest of Somalia becomes democratic, peaceful and stable then the need to going it alone for Somaliland would be a moot point, immaterial. I don't think the people of Somaliland would entertain independence if everyone around them is living in the same democratic system. For now, Brother Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has a lot to do on his plate. I wish him nothing but success in his blessed endeavor to bring peace, stability and democratic governance to his beleaguered citizens. Insha'Allah!!!

Folks,

I just discovered that 1+1=2 is not right. It may be correct but it may not be right. Wait a minute! I think I got it in reverse. It should have been 1+1=, just forget all about it!!!. It may be true though but.. I said forget all about it!!! That my first math teacher had it all wrong, not correct or not true. He even had the audacity to tell us that the numeral ‘0’ has no value! May he rest in peace since he was gone a long time ago but if he was still alive I would have taken him to court for teaching us that. What a nerve!!!
