The UAE Administration in Ethiopia is Plunging the Country Deeper into Crisis

Post by Fiyameta » 09 Jan 2024, 23:46

Djibouti kicked out the UAE in favor of China operating its port.

Now the very angry UAE is hell bent on getting revenge against Djibouti by luring Ethiopia away from Djibouti's port and into using the UAE operated Somalia's port of Berbera instead.

If Ethiopia was paying the UAE $1.5 Billion dollars a year to use Djibouti's port services, it will again pay the same amount to the UAE to use Somalia's port of Berbera.

Ethiopia won't gain anything by switching ports, but the UAE will get its revenge and 1.5 Billion Dollars!

Can you imagine what will happen when Somalia kicks out the UAE from its Berbera Port and Ethiopia has no access for maritime trade? The only alternative for Ethiopia would be to use the Abay river, but the river flows into Egypt! :P

Down, Down, UAE! :P

UAE financed terrorist Al Shabab to take over Somalia

UAE financed terrorist RSF to take over Sudan

UAE financed Abiy with weapons to fight Ethiopian Opposition

UAE has engulfed the horn in wars

UAE is using Ethiopia to exact its revenge on Djibouti, and our willful ignorance and arrogance is so catastrophic that
it will take a heavy human and economic toll on our country. When that happens, we will realize that we cannot serve two masters, and we will seek divine intervention to get out of the self-made crisis: ኢትዮጵያ እጆችዋን ወደ እግዚአብሔር ትዘረጋለች. :|

Somalia can't kick out the UAE , they have 25 years agreement with us to manage the port. Ethiopia won't gain any thing in the short term other than putting it's feet on the Ocean. And displaying some naval toys. But recognising Somaliland is good for Ethiopia in the long term. If Somali Nationalists or islamists take over somaliland it's bad for Ethiopia future.

Fiyameta,

What you haven't heard, which I would like you to add to your analysis next time, is that the UAE has been on an all-out revenge against Somalia for a few good years now, and the UAE plotting against Somalia behind curtains stems out of this:

for three years until 2018, the UAE had in Somalia what it used to call a training programme, claiming to have been training Somali recruits for the Somali Army.

In 2018, Farmajo disbanded their fuc.king programme and kicked the Emirati fuc.kers out of Somalia, as it was realised that they were using the soldiers as their own, intending to use them as mercenaries to destabilise the country further. They were playing never-ending games to not hand the soldiers over to the Somali Ministry of Defence. Instead, they wanted to keep them in the training camp under the command of the UAE forever for the UAE, ready to be used and deployed solely by the UAE for its malicious purposes.

In addition, as you can read it in the article in the link below and others, they were also involved in money laundering corrupting local elections, smuggling bags full of cash through Mogadishu Airport.

Since that day, the UAE has been on all-out revenge against Somalia.
