Stop picking on Egypt. That is between Ethiopia and Egypt. Egypt needs water and Ethiopia wants to make money out of the water. Let us look in own backyard. Without legitimate democracy, this backward region you call the horn is full of contradictions. Eritrea needs a leadership elected by the people. Ethiopia needs to replace ethnic democracy with legitimate none Ethnic democracy. Somalia needs to work with its own problems and solve the question of various entities such as the Somali Land status for good using legitimate democratic solutions. Ethiopia does not need to establish a navy to counter potential Egyptian military adventure. Ethiopia is not a contest to Egyptian maritime power. International law on the use of water need to be respected. Charity begins at home. BTW, Eritrea needs to build a well equipped ports that can serve neighboring countries comparable to ports like Djibouti which can bring port use prices to fair market value.

Egypt may want Ethiopia to be permanently mired in crisis but Egypt does not have the power to create those crisis. All Ethiopia's wounds are self-inflicted. The civil war raging in Oromia and Amhara is not of Egypt's making. Ethiopia is imploding because of 27 years, the Agames were busy planting ethnic bombs to disintegrate the country. It may be too late now to save Ethiopia. I cannot see a future in which the Oromos and Amharas can live as one nation. The honor of finally killing Ethiopia goes to Abiy Ahmed, the seventh king of modern Ethiopia.
