Among the saddest constraints that paralyzed Ethiopia from progress were the inability to use its water resources for power/ irrigation and being the most populated country on earth with out acess to the Sea. The sacrifice Ethiopians paid to secure acess to the Sea from Emperor Yohannes time to the Mengistu Hailemariam was in millions of souls and billions of dollars, which was lost under the drain .It was colonial powers who denied Ethiopians God given right to use its rivers and acess to the Sea. I would like to thank PM Abiy for his courageous decision to brake the deadlock Somaliland faced and signing the MOU that enables Ethiopia to aquire 90km by 20 km strip of land on lease basis and for Somaliland also to be recognized as an independent state.If Somaliland and Ethiopia's economy is integrated that will be an exemplary model to be followed with all of our neighbours propelling the Horn of Africa to peace and prosperity. Thank you PM Abiy for making similar history to PM Meles who started the GERD.

My home is the whole Ethiopia( you are the one you preferred to be reduced to the tiny Eritrea) including the strip of land to the Sea via Somaliland!
