What they forgot to add in this "statement" is the point to remind the readers their historical role of colonialism, in drawing the borders of the "independent" nations of Africa, still dreaming to come back and prescribe what the "independent" African nations should and shouldn't do.

Did they also lecture about the right to self-determination somewhere else?

Their slaves on the HoA can also keep barking to the tune of their erstwhile masters.

But they can never mess with Ethiopia, they know it and we know it, the rest too knows it.

A huge blow to Oromo Abiye Ahmed. European union stands with protecting Somalia's sovereignty.

I heard about multiple and similar deals between a number of member states of EU and the mini state of Djibouti, if that is the case did they ever care about the "territorial integrity" of their contract partner back then?

They have never prescribed what Ethiopia should do and shouldn't do and they will never.

You wouldn't make such a statement if you knew how many billions the EU injects into the Ethiopian government's budget every year. Abiyot Ahmed may make silly pranks because he is an immature slob but he can't survive a day without EU largesse.

I am sure that the African Union has exactly the same view about the "colonial borders". It is a sacrosanct article of the African charter. And if the bone-head Abiy Ahmed thinks he can challenge that, then he is dumber than we think. I wonder what the Ethiopian Somalis are thinking now? Abiyot seems to be systematically eroding his support within then PP.

I don't think the deal will go beyond the memorandum of understanding (MoU), because it is a scheme to pull the wool over the Ethiopian people's eyes, and whitewash Abiy's incompetence in causing the current economic crisis, famine and civil war in the country.
