At the same time Somaliland signed a Memorandum of Understanding on a wide-range of issues with Ethiopia on the new year, including but not limited to military cooperation and access to the see for Ethiopia, and a wide range of economic opportunity for Somaliland in return.


On the same day Ethiopia also officially joined the international body of BRICS. 2024 is also a promising year on the home front too, the so called rebellion in the country will be dealt with effectively and efficiently, for once and for all. A number of economic projects in the country will also keep to over-meet their targets.

What is agreed on in this MoU: cooperation in the areas of economic, social and military endeavors of nations.

This is a comprehensive agreement, which also entails the possibility for Ethiopia to access a sea (port) without any risk.

This (MoU/Agreement) will lead to an integrated HoA, be it in the form of mere economic unity or even some level of political unification of the region, which was the primary vision of PM Abiy Ahmed after coming to power in year 2018.

Somaliland, Djibouti, Kenya and possibly also Somalia itself will join the block before anybody else, which will be centered around Ethiopia, the Seat of AU and many other international organizations.

Russia has already swayed Djibouti to comply and promised it to open an oil pipeline all the way from S. Sudan to its territory, through Ethiopia in return. That means S. Sudan is also already on board.
