This invitation comes from extreme frustrations and lack of hard currency. However, there is nothing appealing to the diaspora youth. They know everything about Ethiopia that their parents know - most of them even more active about the situation back in their ancestral country. For anyone watching most of the diaspora march of demonstration in the cities of Europe and America, it is attended more by the youth than the older generation. We heard the news that some diaspora youth joined Fano in the battlefield and sacrificed their precious lives. It is unimaginable for the youth grown up in democratic governed cities of the West could get the nerve to tolerate Orommuma vagabond Kegna harassing and cursing non-Oromo Ethiopians in everyday casual encounter. The diaspora youth are sensitve to their freedom and personal space - this is against the value of Orommuma. Also, people cannot even move outside of Addis Ababa. If people from Debreberhan cannot enter Addis Ababa why on earth the diaspora youth go there unless he/she is Orommuma OLF/A who must go to claim Kegna share else lose it.

One of the plausible reason that Ethiopia has the most promising potential in joining the ranks of developed countries faster than expected is the talent, entrepreneurship, and resources of its diaspora population. If the political environment peaceful, predictable, democratic, there is no doubt Ethiopia will become the economic power house of Africa. Unfortunately, the ethnic apartheid region, genocide, hatred and relentless violence are badly hurting the psyche of the diaspora. Regardless of all these, Ethiopians have the dream to do something good for their country at some point in their life. If Abiy Ahmed wants the diaspora, he should first do a favor to them.
