መለስና ኣብይ፧ Hmm! I don't see any difference except in the physical look. Otherwise, they both are unprincipled rats. We have seen what damage Meles did to Tigrai. Apparently, that show was what we used to call a "prossimamente al cinema" (coming soon to the cinema).

Eden, to begin with your headline is nonsense. Your very question does not make an iota of sense. To begin with you compare the very idea of Andargachew who is very Ethiopian who loves Ethiopia with Meles whose very belief was the destruction of the very belief that Ethiopia has ever existed. As for the port of Assab, the American Cohen has more sense and concern about the interest of Ethiopia than the prime minister of Ethiopia, who was Meles. Tribal politicians are not bright. They are not capable of knowing, even remotely predicting the future. Meles and TPLF are the prime example for that. Meles and TPLF thought 1991 lives forever. The friendship between TPLF and EPLF will live forever. Isayes believed differently. Moreover, more than the prime minister of Ethiopia, the president of Eritrea wished the best for Ethiopia. That is a fact, not hearsay.

Sam, you are correct. Not only our president but the overwhelming majority of Eritreans wished and continue to wish the best for Ethiopia and its citizens. PERIOD! But, the Ethiopian elites should respect Eritrean sovereignty instead of resuscitating a dead horse like Abiy and his followers seem to be stuck with. Remember Eritrean independence was not given to us in a silver platter as it was handed out to our African brothers and sisters. Thus it pains us to see some Ethiopian elites drooling and talking about taking our land BY FORCE.

Declassified US government documents revealed that, in 1990, one year before Eritrea gained its independence, Meles Zenawi traveled from Chigray to the Sudan, where CIA agents there arranged a secret trip for him to go to New York and meet with the late CIA agent Paul Henze.

The trip was kept secret so the EPLF were not aware of it. Meles told Henze that the TPLF, as a junior partner to the mighty EPLF, was powerless to stop Eritreans from declaring their independence. He, however, promised Henze that he can "reverse" Eritrea's independence if he was provided with US military aid and money.

Meles knew the US wanted to reestablish its military base in Eritrea which it lost when communist Derg came to power in Ethiopia. The TPLF manifesto Meles authored himself also calls for the establishment of the Greater Republic of Tigray by annexing large swaths of the Amhara land and the Eritrean ports of Massawa and Assab.

When Meles launched his invasion of Eritrea in 1998, he was basically piggybacking his Greater Tigray agenda on US geo-strategic interests hoping to conquer Eritrea and rent out the country to the US for a few million dollars a year, just as Haile Selassie did.

It did not work. Today, Meles is selling his "Ultimate Ice Cream Recipe Book" in hell. His motto is: Get Rich, or Die Crying. :P :P

Sam,

Where you are drifting to. You made a risky statement. Isayas, fair or unfair has been suspected of as Unionist throughout the struggle period. Even today, many Eritreans including his main former compatriots such as Mesfin Hugo’s believe that. No one hates the Eritrean independence more than Andargachew Tsige. He is just using Eritrea. Isayas knows that. As far as Meles is concerned, he never wavered about Eritrean independence. For that he paid a lot. His drawback of instituting ethnic federalism cost him very much. He helped power transfer from Amhara to ethnic Oromos. Oromos are the main beneficiaries. Amharas are bitter for the loss of Eritrea and worse for instituting Ethnic federalism in Ethiopia.

Brother Dark Energy,

Two corrections here.
1) Meles was not pro Eritrea independence. Both Meles and Sebhat were working to eliminate Issayas and create Tigray-Tigrign empire that combines Tigray and Eritrea as one country. The reason the snake Meles signed for Eritrean independence including Asab was to hurt Amharas or else losing sea access also hurts Tigray as been seen in the last two years war. Tigrayans now shifted and sided with Abiy knowing fully that Meles Zenawi did not achieve eliminating HGDEF.
2) Amharas you talk about are not ethnic Amharas. You are refering to those mixed heritage pro-ethiopianists and cultural Amharas. These people never ever supported the Amhara cause. Infact they deny the very existence of the Amhara people. The current generation of Amhara knows fully that Amhara have so much to benefit from the Ethnic federalism. We are large in population size and land mass. with the current set-up, we can easily dominate Ethiopia once we enter arat killo. This ethnic federalism won't fair for minorities, mixed societies and populations who live in dispersed locations such as Gurages because they have no say on the areas they live.

Please do not misrepresent us. try to learn the Ethiopian internal reality than old propoganda materials you kept in your mind

Is there any relationship between the Amhara cause you are talking about here and the over used expression "የአማራ ጥያቄዎች"? If yes, then can you please elaborate them?

In that case Amhara doesn't have a single cause, but many causes which are translated into Amharic as የአማራ ጥያቄዎች, isn't it?

Either you have to distance yourself from the demand የአማራ ጥያቄዎች or use the expression Amhara causes not Amhara cause.
