Great illustration.

Now, to people who said, "Ethiopia has never been colonized" and "Eritrea was part of Ethiopia since its inception" how do you explain these two completely opposing facts?

I once had a rather lopsided argument with an Ethiopian Uber driver who came to pick me up at the airport.

He asked if I was Habesha, to which I responded with I AM NOT, followed by my usual unapologetic truism: I AM AN ERITREAN!

In an apparent sign of taking offense at my response, the Uber driver started berating me with "Eritrea is part of Ethiopia... blah blah....You people are also Habesha like us...blah blah blah.... " HAHAHAHA.

All I could do was laugh at his ignorance, as there's nothing anyone can do to wrestle people out of a reason they never reasoned themselves into. And all I could think of was, if only this unenlightened man knew that the derogatory term "Habesha" which he adopted as a badge of honor, and which also carries the same negative connotation as the word "Nîgger," was given to him by none other than the Arabs that purchased thousands of Ethiopian slaves from Ras Alula Aba Nega of Tigray.

As if he knew that I wasn't going to tip him, nor give him a good rating, he continued to run his mouth, but in the midst of all his incoherent rants he said something which I found very fascinating. He said.... "You Eritreans were colonized, but we Ethiopians were never colonized."

I couldn't possibly pass the golden opportunity to gaslighting him (using his own words against him to help him discover the truth LOL  ) In a calm voice I asked him...., if Eritrea was colonized by the Turks, the Egyptians, the Italians, the British... yet here you are claiming Eritrea to be part of Ethiopia, doesn't that mean Ethiopia was also colonized by the Turks, the Egyptians, the Italians, and the British?

At that moment the poor guy was confused like a deer caught in the headlights.

And if I hadn't reached my destination I could have console the poor soul by recalling the great things his country offers, such as the mighty rivers, ancient relics, vast fertile lands, etc ... which all are admired by Eritreans, but coveted by no one, because የኤርትራ አምላክ teaches us that, Thou shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.

I hope he's doing well.

If the Ottoman empire colonized Eritrea from 1557 to 1840, that is 283 years, Isaias Afwerki would have looked like the 12th and current president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Abiy Ahmed is about to bite Isaias Afwerki.

Binken's errand boy Abiy is going to have a difficult time finding a 500-year-old evidence that links Eritrea to Ethiopia. But we all know he's only bluffing when he talks about port in order to divert the Ethiopian people's attention from the economic crisis that has made him vulnerable to a violent overthrow. The TPLF were also making the same noises when it was the midnight hour. There's nothing new there.

Only retard Arab slaves would believe such a trash made in Cairo as "history". I feel ashamed to be counted as Eritrean from Bahre Negasi land with idiots like you. Sooner or later, this Cairo paper and digital image will be thrown into the Red Sea or the Arab's azzz.

The incontrovertible truth is the faculty of ሌንጮ ለታ has always been colonized.

His father ለታ was colonized by የካቶሊክ ፕሮቴስታንት ልጅ in the era of Adwa.

His son ዮሓንስ was colonized in Rochester, New York.

He lived his adult life preaching that ሸዋ colonized ወለጋ so much so that he had the nerves to write in his book that “Ethiopia may have to perish.”

After going to London in 1991 escorting Isaias Afewerki as the leader of the EPLF and Meles Zenawi as the leader of the TPLF and visiting Menelik’s palace with the latter later on, he was brought out of the cold at the end of the Cold War to see a bright light and has been stuck ever since in thinking that Ethiopia’s world wasn’t brighter before his visit to Menelik’s palace in 1991 as an escort.

Because he has been in that state ever since, he has been blinded by the fact that the towering monument at Axum, which was built many centuries before the Washington Monument must have been totally blind to Eritrea when it was built and ever since.

የነበረ ቤት ዉስጥ ገብተህ ቤቱን ወድያ ወዲህ ደርድረህ ቤቴ ካልክ ምን ትባላለህ?

What another classless colonized faculty.

The towering Axum Monument that is standing to this day, the Belay Zelekes as the Fanos of yesterday, and the Fanos of today are proofs that Ethiopia had been standing and will continue to stand.

ኦቦ ለታ had an opportunity to stand as a Fano? Didn’t he?

Or did he think that after seeing Jesus’ painting as a White Man after it was brought to him by the Italian Catholic Protestant missionaries in the era of Adwa, he was convinced that the painting and the missionaries were closer to him than Atse Menelik, both geographically and physically?

Can the faculty of his son ዮሓንስ who became ሌንጮ later in life ever free itself from being colonized and explain this simple history?
