Many factories have ceased operations in Russia following the fuc.king Perestroika of Gorbachev.

Many, if not most, of factories in the countries of the former eastern bloc have ceased operations following the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Many factories have ceased operations in Germany following the collapse of the fuc.king Nazi of Hitler.

many, if not most, of farms in Zimbabwe have ceased operations following Mugabe's failed land reform in Zimbabwe.

All factories in Somalia have ceased operations in Somalia following the collapse of the central government led by Siad Barre.

Therefore, there's nothing exclusive with Eritrea to stigmatise it with.


However, what you've forgotten to mention is the beneficiary of those factories, which was no one else other than Ethiopia's ever growing population.
