By sending him to Asmera, is it possible Abiy is trying to infiltrate HGDEF like he’s been trying to infiltrate FANO diaspora supporters?
The guy is extremely close to Abiy. He was top promoter of Abiy’s recent war in the North. He literally called for inhumane cruelty (አረመኔያዊ ጭካኔ) to be employed in the war, horrifying the world. Not many at his intelligence level came out to express that level of inhumanity just to show support for Abiy.
Berhanu is helping Abiy in the open. Andargachew is doing it differently. They both subscribe to the same program. i.e. They both belong to G7/ EZEMA. Most importantly, they are on the same page as Abiy regarding Aseb/ Red Sea. This very outlook is big part of the reason they fought TPLF for decades. They blame TPLF for the loss and Abiy openly speaking to correcting this very issue is music to their ears.

isn't it?
Why is then the mob on this forum and else where in the cyberspace so busy to tell the world that Abiy is the worst enemy of theirs, when the message has been consistent and pertinent all along?
I replied to one of your buddy in here already before the so called parliamentary address of the PM was aired before weeks telling him Abiy can go tomorrow, the question remains, your buddy muted afterwards.

You made eduye’s day today by calling her “Eritrean”.
Regardless, as to Andargachew Tsige, I expect eden nothing good to say about him, after all, he has been her Weyane’s pain for 30 plus years.

Re:
It is the lifeline of over 120 Million souls, Abiy is not alone in that boat. What are you expecting me to say here?
Did Abiy say anything to stir a violence against anybody, to fulfill that wish? In my understanding NO!
He explicitly stated: we don't want war to realize our goal. We base our demands on a mutual benefit to all sides, he added.
Why are you against him (his claim)?
Being against him makes you automatically an enemy of the over 120 M, whose lifeline is at stake.

Re: አንዳርጋቸው ጽጌ ኤርትራ ተመለሰ!
eden and others who insist on disparaging the name of PM Abiy for his alleged claim over the red-sea access, except the fendada guy, whom I don't consider to have deserved my reply.
First red-sea is an international water, everybody can use it, while observing the relevant international maritime regulations.
It doesn't belong to Eritrea. It is a public good, as such. Ethiopia is member of the international community and as such international legislation applies to it as well.
Denying somebody an access to a public good shouldn't be admissible, if I were asked.
Here is a very good analogy of what I know in my own life time.
I grew up in the countryside, where my parents like all the rest in the surrounding used to plough the land and plant agricultural products. In doing so I used to witness that someone should never cut-off somebody else from accessing the public good or even private property over the land belonging to someone else while making use of the plot of land. Somebody should never cut off somebody else from an access and as such should leave a pas sway to access the needed good, like market, fetching water, accessing one's own property and many other similar necessities.
Such a passage is a simple footpath for those who may have to use them. My own parents usually leave a narrow stripe of the land they own for such purposes, so that those who should be given the passage may have to use it. If you think this is my own invention, then please cross-check from any other body you may know, who was grown up in the countrysides of Ethiopia (and possibly also in Eritrea or some other country in this world).
The right to passage is not a favor, but a right (to access the required goods of any kind). You should never cut-off those who should use those goods.
If this is true, then try also to read some international boundaries in many places around the world where many nations are given such a passage to access such a public good, like the international waters.
Read what I am saying and compare my "invention" with the map of the Democratic Republic of The Congo, as an example of many other similar cases.

Why should Ethiopia be treated differently here?
There could be exception like in many other different areas here too, but the overall setup of the situation at hand here will not allow for such an exception in this case.
Ethiopia is a huge country with a huge needs, that huge need should be allowed to access the public good beyond the stripe of land taken away from it by some eligible or ineligible means. It is not whether we like it or not, that is why the question of access to the read-sea in Ethiopia is a pertinent national question, across all the stripes of political spectrum and generational divides.
PM Abiy Ahmed's suggestion here is to solve such a pertinent question using an amicable means, a win-win situation for all the stakeholders.
If this is not acceptable to some parties of the issue at hand here, there will only be one and only one solution: which is resolving it by means of violence, at one time down the the road. It is not that I am advocating for violence, it is simply reading into the matter objectively on the ground.
You take it or leave it. Truth can't be distorted for ever!

Make your informed choice in due time from the options you have been given, my little advice to the despot on the other side of the Mereb River.
Truth can't be hidden for ever, injustice can never be sustainable for ever.

Eritrea coastline is not international waters.
Eritrea has sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction over its Red Sea water, Includes the seabed, subsoil and the natural resources there, as well as the airspace above it, Under international law of the sea, Foreign ships are allowed innocent passage through Eritrean water, though innocent passage can be suspended under certain strict conditions.
International waters is the high seas and the high seas refers to the ocean water that lies beyond the boundaries of any one country, also known as areas beyond any national ownership or jurisdiction, Ethiopia is a landlocked country, It has no right to access to the sea or ownership of the Red Sea coast.
Congo cannot be compared to Ethiopia, Oromos need to learn about international maritime law, also known as the Law of the Sea.

Landlocked Bolivia lost access to the sea in 1884 after a war with Chile and has tried to regain it ever since. The court said Chile was not obliged to negotiate granting Bolivia access.
