Let both countries go ahead & implement the 1998 Court of Arbitration decision on the border (virtual demarcation decision) & then let them proceed with physical demarcation.
The rest (port access etc), will follow with bilateral negotiations.
Eritrea believes, at the same time, the Amhara people have a legitimate historical claim to the today so called "Western tigray". Eritrea wants to maintain too, the traditional relationships & trade between the peoples of Eritrea & Amara at the border areas.
As killil tigray with peace & demarcation etc...might get access to the Sea through Eritrea- the people of Amara killil too, must be given the same access.
Above all, the US must accept & take ownership of the fact of its huge contribution for this whole mess today beginning from the decades long support & aid for the tplf (financial, diplomatic, media, sanctioning Eritrea based on lies etc.) and for recently derailing the steps of peace being taken between both countries- by first saving a terror junta from total annihilation at the last moment & for pushing Abyi to go against both the Amara people & ultimately Eritrea.
Now that it's become clear that Abyi can deliver neither, the US is doubling down by issuing commands. A clear "hands-on & the gloves are off" approach, that must be condemned by all.
What Fano's response will be, we'll all see.

Eritrea has no business in Ethiopian affairs. Let the Ethiopians federal government solve it. Let us not use Weyane excuse for all the illnesses of Ethiopia. All we need for Ethiopia is to respect our borders.
