I completely understand where Belay is coming from & I know his heart is in the right place. I hope, it's as he says about the PM.
What he's missing to mention though, is the fact of the US & EU's continuous pressure on him to cut ties with Eritrea.
He disappointed many people (Eritrean & Ethiopian alike) twice, when he first declared a ceasefire & retired his army from tigray & the Weyane still persued him anyway & the 2nd time, when he stopped short of Meqele to head for Pretoria.
Eritrea & the Fano helped him then, yet bizarrely, now he's at peace with the Tegaru while fighting the Amara who helped him. I understand their grievance, because had they not acted he might even have given places like Welqait to the junta by now.
What is Eritrea's guarantee she won't be next, if he somehow succeeds in the Amara region? How can one trust such a person?
His FM was throwing temper-tantrums because Ethiopia wasn't invited to the Summit of the Council of Arab and African States bordering the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden,
eventhough Ethiopia has no borders to the red sea.
Plus, he has to stop talking in parables & confuse people.
