Those you saw rioting on either side in the diaspora had to go through this. They are young, they miss their families back home and are not allowed to visit them. They experienced overflowing prison system, harsh journeys, involving trafficking, rape, beatings, through desert and sea. Many witnessed their family friends lose their lives in front of them.
