The issue isn’t whether the passport is authentic or not, it seems authentic however, it isn’t a big deal for Eritrean government to issue Eritrean passport to Ethiopian oppositions during the Weyane era as the Weyane was doing the same by issuing Ethiopian passports to those who fled from Eritrea and arrived in Ethiopia.

Times have changed man. 30 years ago any association with shabia would make someone very suspicious among Amharas. Today, relations with Eritrea means you’re trusted and your relationship with Eritrea is seen as a plus among Amhara society.
