Educational: Did You Know This?

Post by Somaliman » 25 Jul 2023, 08:37

Did you know that between 1997 and 2001 private press in the form of print media operated in Eritrea and that there were eight private newspapers though under Afwerki's restrictive and repressive framework? These continued to operate till September 2001.

It was only in September 2001 when senior government officials known as “G-15” demanded democratic reforms and the enforcement of the 1997 ratified Constitution that Afwerki proceeded to close private newspapers, clamping down on 11 members of the “G-15” accusing them of treason and said they were a threat to national security, and imprisoning 18 journalists for providing platforms to the “G-15” to express their popular democratic views.

Since September 2001 both the aforementioned senior government officials and journalists have been held in secret overcrowded prison facilities with inadequate food, water, and medical care, and without charges and incommunicado. Many of the journalists and writers are believed to have died in these inhumane detention camps.

In result, since September 2001, no private media has existed in Eritrea.

Afwerki's regime, which is the most repressive regime in all Africa and the most repressive regime you may have ever heard of, retains the monopoly of broadcast media, including TV, radio, and print outlets. These media outlets are nothing else other than a bunch of mouthpieces for the oppressive dictatorship of Afwerki, spewing propaganda on a daily basis, and the journalists who are working for these toe the regime's editorial line for fear of retaliation.

Please note: The images below are exactly among the journalists who got arrested between 21 and 23 September 2001 following the arrest on 18 September 2001 of the senior politicians popularly known as G-15, which I've discussed above.

Could you imagine if these poor innocent journalists have been languishing without charge either in containers or overcrowded and unsanitary prison facilities since 2001. In other words, they've been in such harsh prisons for 21 years, 10 months, and 4 days to date for having simply done their job as journalists, providing citizens with platforms to share their democratic views!

No wonder Afwerki is called "The merciless butcher to this own people", as this is typical of he has been inflicting upon his own people!

I'm well aware that seeing me exposing how Afwerki has robbed Eritreans of their basic human rights and, most of all, their country, is obviously a tough pill to swallow for you little worshipers of Afwerki.

My advice to you is to stop crying and swallow it, however unpleasant it may taste, as it's unavoidable.

You tend to claim often that I'm Eden, Kerenite, this, and that, rather than questioning what I'm posting.

Do you at least know why you do this?

Simply, because you know perfectly well that the contents I'm posting constitute nothing else other than undiluted ultimate truth.

The truth shall set you free!

Crying?

You're the one whining about Eritrea, and let's be real here, it's NONE of ur concern, in every post that you open.

I'll tell you again reesi- emni, maybe 0.5% of Eritreans visit this forum & your blah..blah...is nothing but fárt in the wind. But even if 90% of them would read ur diatribes, you wouldn't get responses much different than mine.

Besides, we've heard such nonsense from waaay bigger heavy-hitters than your nobody self, so all in all don't flatter your meaningless áss.

Fears of State Surveillance both in Eritrea and in the Diaspora is beyond belief!

Could you imagine if communication in public places such as tea shops, buses, taxis, restaurants, bus terminals, offices, schools and colleges, public, social and religious events are closely monitored by spies working for Afwerki's brutal and oppressive regime! Even those Eritreans who are out of the country are afraid to express themselves publicly for fear of reprisals against their relatives at home in Eritrea.

Journalists who work for the regime's media outlets and manage to escape still fear that their families back home will be targeted as the ruthless regime punishes family members because of association.

Could you also imagine if this general, below, has been behind bars for Afwerki for 32 consecutive years now!

What I'm posting disturb at least you little fuc.kers who worship such a diabolical paranoid butcher, as you can't stop yourselves from popping up in a rush with your crappy childish utterance, while others are tired of keep creating threads of my username and associating me with other forum users, and that's enough for me.

I know for example that you're a Satanist at heart but besides feeling sorry for you, ultimately it's none of my business.

Get it......... I've gone out of insults.

PS: "disturbed", is the last thing we're. Entertained, is the word. Like I told you, we've heard your cry-me-a-river stories, even from White House operatives, for decades.

I don't care about who you worship. What I'm rather disgusted about is the fact that you're distorting the truth, as the truth is not your exclusive property but a treasure of all human being.

You're posting your propaganda based garbage on this forum on a daily basis using it to sugarcoat the oppressive and repressive regime of Afwerki and want to take us as if we were born yesterday!

Go create your own forum and post all your sh.it on it and you won't see any post from me.

If you had a shred of intelligence, you would have realised that Ethiopians, regardless of their ethnicity, don't give a sh.it about Afwerki and Eritrea altogether. Who the fu.ck are you advertising Afwerki for, then! For Eritreans? Then, go set up your own frigging forum for Eritreans.

Smelly Man,

What do you say about the one million Agames who perished in the most horrible way! That is one million dumbo. Start counting 1, 2, 3, ... and see how long it takes you to reach 1,000,0000. What is odd is that you Agames don't seem to have lost even one million eggs!

Stop fooling yourself, you know perfectly well that I'm not Ethiopian. You can post a ton of those dead bodies every minute if you like. I've not feeling for them more than any other human being would have for them. You're closer to them more than I'm, as I'm Somali and have nothing to do whatsoever with Ethiopians and Eritreans.

You're only demonstrating your dummy nature and nothing else. You don't have the guts neither the intellectual calibre to discuss what I'm posting! Do you? Hell, no.

Why not introduce me to your sister, as she would feed you back on me? Don't worry if she's ugly, I don't care about her face, I'll cover it, her pus.sy would suffice me. Let me know.

Guess what! I'm posting occasionally, but you're squatting on this forum 24/7 posting a bunch of garbage on a daily basis for the same 0.5% of Eritreans who you said visit this forum!
