Who are the descendants of the Axumite Empire?
To answer this question in a simplified way, I referred to Ezana’s stone inscription mentioned above and all the people mentioned in that inscription can claim to be its descendants. What it means is that all existing nations and nationalities of Ethiopia and all citizens of Horn Africa, Sudan, Yemen, Southern Saudi Arabia, and Southern Egypt are stakeholders to the Axumite Empire. With regard to which people of Ethiopia were the core part of the Axumite Empire, there is a competition between Tigrayan elites and Amhara elites. In my view considering the historical intra- North to South and vice versa migration and mixing of people between the North and Southern of Ethiopia both Tigrayans and Amaharas could equally claim to be the core of the Axumite Empire. Misunderstanding and conflict arises whenever one party tries to discount the other and tries to claim 100% inheritance and give zero % to the other.

The Amhara and Tigray People have nothing in common, culture or history.
The Amhara were immigrants from the bantu land squatting on the Tigray People Land .
The Tigray People gave them the Amharic language because they didn't want to them speak the god language Tigrinya which is the Tigray People language.
The Amhara have stood with Italy, Russia,Cuba, Arab countries, Turkey, Egypt, Eritrea to commit genocide on innocent defenseless Tigray People for hundreds of years.

Historical narrations and dwelling only on gross unsubstantiated analysis may not bring peace and happiness. It is better to concentrate on the current issues and the coming common future where we share and care for each other so as to become healthy, wealthy and happy for ever to come.
