Saho and Erob

Post by TesfaNews » 25 May 2023, 02:18

Saho and Irob

Are a collection of highlander Habesha and lowland Afar tribes that began speaking a Afar dialect as "Saho" initially Afar-egna was the language of the Agame Awraja. Geez was recently introduced to Adigrat Area via Eritrean Tigrinya imported from Aqele Guzai. Tigrinya rose to prominence in Agame Awraja around 16th century in fact Enderta began speaking Tigrinya in 12th century. So Agame were the last to learn Tigrinya in Tigray next to the Tembien and Rayans of Wejerat Alaje Azebo Maychew

Todays Saho are Habesha and Afar mixed. They are both lowlander and Highlander especially those who live in the highlands by the afar corridor in Akele Guzay and Agame

What is interesting is how did Tigrinya reach Mekele before it reached Adigrat

I believe Seraye Tigrinya reached Tigray before Akele Tigrinya made it.

Seraye is right north of Aksum and Adwa any language spread from Seraye would hit the core of todays fake Tigray Region causing Tigrinya to grow from Adwa-Axum to Hawzen-Mekele Shire-Shiraro areas

i doubt that saho is an or saxu is an offshoot of affar there is no indication that gives this possible ancestry u know a whole distinct ethnic group cant from another group, to be of two jointly ethnic groups that form it is more likely [deleted] is alo no evidecen for that.

I don't know about that. But I heard that Saho and Afar are very similar and each of the speakers can use and understand either language. They are almost one language as people have been telling me. But, since I do not understand either language, I'd rather have the experts tell us.
