Despite our resolute commitment to the ceasefire agreement, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) launched a series of unwarranted attacks today, violating international laws and norms.

In self-defense, our forces decisively repelled these assaults, seizing and destroying several tanks.

In Omdurman, after a targeted attack, our forces successfully shot down a SAF MiG jet fighter.

Committed to the humanitarian truce, the Rapid Support Forces calls on these aggressors to respect the ceasefire.

We emphasize that all hospitals under our control are free from military activities.

We are also prepared to ensure smooth aid delivery and support medical teams serving civilians.

The RSF stands against the SAF and its allies from the regime of former dictator Omar al-Bashir.

We will continue to protect our people, and remain committed to peace, democracy, and human rights, striving for a prosperous Sudan.

Dr Khalid Hussein( ኻልድ ሑሰይን ), " Islamist " based in Turkey, is saying that a third rocket exploded inside the Mig after the fighter fired twice on RSF targets on the ground which were attacking an air force base in Omdurman. In his view the RSF has run out of anti-aircraft ammunition to pose any threat to SAF.

He also mentioned that one of the wounded pilots who survived the crash and was initially captured by RSF is now in an army hospital and receiving treatment.

Anything is possible in a war situation but the Sudanese have a history of getting embarrassed when things go wrong.
