Soqotri has some common words with Amharic
anye -> ene(እኔ) ->me
na -> እና -> with
omuto -> እሙጡ -> young ....mainly used for toddlers in amharic
kaba -> ካባ -> gown
so soqorti is southern semetic and i am sure there will be more common words

Dr Zachovich,
but you are bantu and your language is kushitic. you are not related to socotra. The history of Somalia says it all. Three Arab mongers (Issac, Daroood & Hawie) sailed to boat from Arabia to the coastal africa and 20,000 local bantu somalis lined up to be $h@gged doggy and these three arab gentle men sh@gged repeatedly non stop gang bang style for 10 years creating the somali clans and population. That is the national history you are proud of right?

what about the sabeans and himiriyats coming to north ethiopia and [ deleted ] the agews and sidama and creating the nappy headed short legged habeshas thats why ur features is mixed with bantu a bit of cushites and the short legged like the Yemenis or the ancient Yemenis
Besides Somalis have the least bantus 30% of amhara is bantu or nilotics the only pure ethnic that is a bit free of the bantu are the tigrayans
Besides the hawiye never claim to related to arabian ancestry
and third socotra is part of Somalia it has always been part of somalia
