The campaign has become futile. It is already a failed attempt For four reasons
1) 95% of Amhara special forces melted and disappeared with their weapon
2) Most ENDF particularly southern brothers showed soft heart on the campaign and are not trusted and could easily join Amhara or give their weapon to Amhara.
3) Oromo Liyu Hayel wearing ENDF outfit are hated in Amhara and could be targeted by average people as they go deep
4) Abiy hoped the Amhara Liyu will confront ENDF head on but the Liyu Hayel chose confrontation in its own term
The above left the Abiy forces to go door to door in search of weapon i e almost like looking needle in a haystack and with the dire economic situation & lack of hard currency, the campaign becomes unfeasible. Also local admirations all broke down and no one can be trusted.
PP Oromuma thus will announce a crafted announcement that it is abandoning the campaign for the sake of peace next week. There will be messages containing about Welkait and Raya that the government is not doing backdoor deal with TPLF. All this will be to buy more time and try the disarmament of Amhara sometimes in the future in a different tactics.
