This completely dashes the TPLF's hope and dream of Badme. The 'Man" seems to be playing his cards seemingly skillfully. Now all that is remaining to be done is the full and complete implementation of the Algiers's agreement by physically demarcating the borders to solidify the peace between the two sisterly countries.

Addis Abeba – A delegation of Eritrean army generals and senior officials led by General Abraha Kassa, head of Eritrean National Security Agency who was sanctioned by the US government in September 2021 paid unprecedented official visit to Ethiopia on Monday state media https://www.facebook.com/EBCzena/posts/ ... 345270752/ reported.

The delegates have visited Ethiopia’s Information Network Security Agency (INSA), the Artificial Intelligence Inistitute and the Federal police headquarters among other development projects including the GERD, according to Eritrea’s Information Minister Yemane G/Meskel.

Yemane tweeted, that the
central purpose of the current visit is to further consolidate the close ties of military cooperation that exist between the two countries
adding that the visit was made on the invitation of the Ethiopian Defense Forces.

The head of the delegation general Abraha Kassa along other two individuals, the Eritrean Government and the leading People’s Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ) has been designated https://addisstandard.com/breaking-us-s ... -ethiopia/ as:
responsible for or complicit in, or who has directly or indirectly engaged or attempted to engage in, any activity contributing to the crisis in northern Ethiopia,

and was sanctioned by the US in 2021.

Subsequently, the Ethiopian government denounced the announcement and asked the United States government to revoke its decision to impose sanctions on Eritrea. https://addisstandard.com/news-ethiopia ... n-eritrea/

Eritrean forces who fought alongside Ethiopian federal army and allied militias in the two years war in Tigray, Amhara and Afar regions have been accused of committing atrocities against civilians https://addisstandard.com/new-report-on ... lians-hrw/ from the start of the war in November 2020.

Only weeks before the Pretoria cessation of hostilities agreement reached between Ethiopian government and the TPLF, rights group Amnesty International said the Eritrean troops extrajudicially killed at least 40 people https://addisstandard.com/news-at-least ... rnational/ in Sheraro town, in North Western Zone of the Tigray region between 06 and 12 September 2022.

In February last year, two months after the peace deal was signed Addis Standard reported that families of 10 youths who were abducted by Eritrean troops from Gure Endagabir, a place near Axum city, on 18 January 2023 were in deep distraught about the whereabouts of their sons. https://addisstandard.com/news-families ... ereabouts/

It is to be recalled that on 20 March, 2023 the U.S. said it has determined that members of the Eritrean Forces along with members of Ethiopian National Defense Forces and Amhara forces have committed “crimes against humanity” in the Tigray region, whereas all sides have committed “war crimes” during Ethiopia’s two years war. Addis Standard, which is funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) read: George Soros, habitually peddles negative news on Eritrea.

A case of who pays the piper calls the tune.

Where's the terror junta in Addis Standard's account, for instance?

A growing chorus in the Global South, against the arbitrary and duplicitous conduct of the ICC and its principal sponsors. South Africa's Foreign Minister lays it out candidly; without mincing any words.

While visiting Changcha, a magnificent city in China's Hunan province, I had the pleasure of meeting 4 Eritrean lecturers: Rezene, Simon, Kibreab & Tesfit; currently pursuing their PHDs. Great to exchange thoughts on their experiences in 🇨🇳, updates from 🇪🇷 & their areas of expertise. Amanuel Mesfun (Editor in Chief, Eritrea Profile): @amanuelabaga

MEDICAL UPDATE: GIRMAY, VAN DER HOORN & DE GENDT LEFT THE HOSPITAL

https://intermarche-circus-wanty.eu/new ... l-update-3

On Sunday, three riders from Intermarché-Circus-Wanty were transported to the hospital following their crashes during the Tour of Flanders: Taco van der Hoorn, Biniam Girmay and Aimé De Gendt. Two days later, their recovery is evolving well and they could all leave the hospital.

Despite this encouraging development, the World Team is forced to head to Paris-Roubaix on Sunday April 9th without these three riders. These withdrawals are added to those of Adrien Petit (fracture of a phalanx) and Hugo Page (mononucleosis).

48 hours after his crash in the Ronde van Vlaanderen Biniam Girmay could leave the hospital in Kortrijk this Tuesday afternoon. Just like for Taco van der Hoorn his recovery from concussion is going well and no fractures were revealed in additional examinations. Both have to observe several days of rest in order to avoid long term effects of concussion. Also the recovery of their wounds will take some time. In case of Taco van der Hoorn it is a cut in the eyebrow arch, Biniam Girmay suffers from abrasions and contusions on his body and in his face. Both will resume sports step by step the next weeks. Also Aimé De Gendt could leave the hospital in Herentals Monday afternoon after a successful elbow operation. He will wear a plaster cast for ten days, after which he can resume training on the rollers.
Ortwin Schäfer (Head Doctor)

The consequences of the crashes in the Tour of Flanders last Sunday were particularly hard for our team: three riders had to be transported to the hospital and will miss Paris-Roubaix. These encouraging signals about their recovery allow us to look ahead. Collectively, we were where we had to be on Sunday and Biniam showed that his condition is improving. Another positive point is that our young generation has performed brilliantly during the spring despite the many setbacks. On Sunday, Laurenz Rex and Dries De Pooter completed their first Tour of Flanders, following the better riders for a long time.

In Roubaix, our young talents will again receive the opportunity to show themselves, following the absence of five strong elements of our initial selection due to injury or illness, namely Biniam Girmay, Hugo Page, Taco van der Hoorn, Adrien Petit and Aimé De Gendt. They will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience alongside Mike Teunissen and Baptiste Planckaert. I feel they are ready to take up this challenge. I remember Rex in this race a year and a half ago, when he convinced us to recruit him in our team. To chase good a result, we will have to exploit all our tactical options and certainly adopt an offensive behavior.

Aike Visbeek (Performance Manager)
