LONDON: The Italian foreign minister said Sunday that
leaving Africa in the Chinese hand
is a
big mistake.
Antonio Tajani said at the Munich Security Conference.To look at Africa is crucial for the future. To leave Africa in the Chinese hand is a big mistake for everybody here,
Increasing presence in Africa is important for a stronger Europe, he said, adding the unity of the EU is crucial for ties within NATO and with African countries.
Tajani said that working together with the US is another key point for Europe.

Africa's partnership with China on equal footing doesn't mean the continent is in Chinese hands, but that's how its former colonialists see it, for they are helplessly watching the continent asserting its rightful position globally, thanks to some fiercely independent African nations that have taken the brunt of the Neo-colonial blow and are still standing like a rock, inspiring other Africans that life exists outside the IMF and World Bank debt trap.
