The Federal system that empowers nations and nationalists is the optimum solution for countries which are as diversified as Ethiopia. However,. EPRDF shortcomings were related to the implementation of the Federal system as illustrated below:
- The right balance between Federal and local states was not achieved ( the Federal system was by far more stronger than the local states in contradiction to the constitution). Actually local states were led / have been led by puppet governers under the pretext of centralized party discipline.
- Though EPRDF initiated democratic system , it reversed it back to dictatorial system under one party monopoly. For a federal system to work you need a vibrant democracy founded on a democratic culture within the government civil service and the whole society
- Ownership, ubuse and corruption on the distribution of land by party officials created a competition among local states to control and benefit from it
What Ethiopia needs :
- A vibrant and corruption intolerant democratic system & culture
- Fine twining of the existing constitution to ban ethinic based political parties similar to religious parties
- Article 39 may have to be removed
- Minimum population size & land area to establish a local state ( recommended 5m )
- Balance the Federal power and the local states power ( local states should not be puppets of the Federal government)
- One Ethiopia, one army and multiple states ( abolish states special forces)
- Privatization of land
- Simless implementation and non-discriminatory law enforcement of the Ethiopian Constitution every where in Ethiopia
- Respect for individual rights and eliminate any discrimnation whatever and every where through out Ethiopia irrespective of ethinic, religious ,gender or other differences
- Equal education, social, political, technology, health, economic and any other opportunity for every Ethiopian irrespective of ethnicity , religious, gender, age, social class or other differences.

Even a child would understand a system designed to keep the 5% Agames in power by fanning ethnic conflicts. The result of that evil design is what we see today, a nation of warring ethnic entities. Of course, "divide and rule" was not invented by Agames. It was what the British used to control half of the world. Meles must have read how the British were able to control a huge population like the Indians. In the end, the system that Agames thought would enable them to loot Ethiopia for 100 years has backfired and consumed them. It will take you now a 100 years to recover from the devastation.

It's not very hard to understand the Tigray ethnic apartheid system instituted by Meles Zenawi in Ethiopia, whose sole beneficiaries were the Adwa-born zombies like Axumezana/Aba Awash.
