Top Ten Actors in Eritrea's Totalitarian Dictatorship
Below are the Top 10 actors in the ruling PFDJ which achieved little to nothing except starting endless wars that exacted a heavy price on Eritreans.
1. Isaias Afwerki
2. Osman Saleh
3. Yemane Gebreab
4. Filipos Weldeyohannes
5. Abraha Kassa
6. Hagos Gebrehiwet
7. Fowzia Hashem
8. Yemane Gebremeskel
9. Simon Gebredingel
10. Teklay Manjus
None of them has any grasp of macroeconomic fundamentals that are considered critical in running a modern nation-state in the 21st Century.
May God have mercy on Eritreans and bestow them wise and humane leaders in the future.

War with Yemen- started by Yemen. Settled in a court of law, with no ifs or buts.
War with Djibouti- started by Djibooty, because the military base owners urged it to.
War with your rodents- started by your rodents. No evidence necessary, here.
As for the "macroeconomic fundamentals" thingy, what is stated has no evidence attached to it except that it gives chgray-poblican the satisfaction of having insulted some of his masters.

History will remember them as heroes who led the people of Eritrea not only during the struggle for our independence but also who stood their ground to defend against the aggressors against the sovereignty of Eritrea for over two decades. The same leaders you have posted made history by forcing TPLF to unbelt its agame pantsEripoblikan wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023, 10:53Below are the Top 10 actors in the ruling PFDJ which achieved little to nothing except starting endless wars that exacted a heavy price on Eritreans.

Re: Top Ten Actors in Eritrea's Totalitarian Dictatorship
I beg to differ, all the names mentioned are a bunch of yes men. The despot is overall. Those mentioned are just sheer decorations.Eripoblikan wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023, 10:53Below are the Top 10 actors in the ruling PFDJ which achieved little to nothing except starting endless wars that exacted a heavy price on Eritreans.

C'mon, one man can't run by himself the whole military, intelligence and propoganda enterprise.
Or do you think Zmeselo is Issu's right hand man and Yemane Monkey is just a messenger of the two?

How about, numbers, from the people you trust?

GDP growth is projected at 4.7% and 3.6% in 2022 and 2023, due to increased international prices for metals. https://www.afdb.org/en/countries/east- ... ic-outlook

Re: Top Ten Actors in Eritrea's Totalitarian Dictatorship
* Let's 1st remember to not take these big financial institutions' predictions at face value, for the simple fact & as they readily admit themselves, have limited access to the country (one of the things about Eritrea that bugs them actually. The issuance of the Nakfa, too, was one of the causes that hastened Weyane preparation for war as "the divorce" somehow became really official then & one of the threads they had on Eritrea got severed).
So these numbers, and considering it's only gloom & doom one expects from their announcements, are satisfactory in my view.
In reality there's a huge chance the growth percentage might be much higher, but the Eritrean gov't's modus-operandi of total silence being as it is, we can only guess.
* To those who want to mock & credit the growth numbers for being solely thanx to the price of metals nowadays, I would remind them cos they seem to have forgotten that it's the Eritrean gov't's wise decision to work with medium- large mineral extracting companies hungry for growth willing to sign a 60:40% deal & even 50:50 in one case (unheard of, especially in Africa) that's greatly aiding in raising these numbers.
* UN institutions working in the country continuously publish reports of the progress the govt is registering, especially in the area of food- security but generally too, in achieving the MDG's & now well on its way to meet the SDG's. If you ain't Stevie Wonder, your eyes can witness the number of dams built by the govt.
* Modest attempts in introducing environmentally friendly energy sources, like solar etc. & plans of expansion.
I could go on & on but I'll stop here by adding that all this was achieved under duress of war, threats of war & debilitating sanctions. I think 99% of the world's countries would be crushed, confronted with those odds.
