The Tigrian religious leaders, being human, are reacting in humanistic way. They are pressing for separation from the mother Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church. I see where they are coming from. I get it, trust me. They feel they were betrayed by their own country and their own church. I do understand.
The fact of the matter is that Ethiopians were subjected to intense propaganda from both inside and outside the church to ignore and even justify the crime that has been committed against Tigrian Ethiopians.
This was a weakness on the part of Ethiopian church leadership and followers. Weakness is weakness. I mean, they don’t really meant to do you harm. They thought they were doing the right thing.
I want to bring your attention to an even relevant point. Governments come and go. The church doesn’t. The church goes on and on forever.
I ask you to take your pain and use it to exemplify the power of SPIRITUALITY. Let your sacrifices count this way.
Tigrayans (Eritrea, Ethiopia) are blessed to be the first to bring the Orthodox Tewahdo. I feel that makes them responsible to keep it intact.
And in order to keep it intact, you have to forgive.
Don’t reject the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo church invitation. Join it and reform it. I say all this because I strongly think and feel SPIRITUAL endeavors transcend petty politics. If Tigrayans
are willing and able to forgive, it even gives more power to the belief.
Think the future.
