when OLF left Ethiopian government, it allowed TPLF/EPRDF to control government and OLF became irrelevant

when TPLF left EPRDF/ PP, it allowed OPDO/ PP to control Ethiopian government and TPLF became irrelevant, at least, at the Federal level

when Eritrea left IGAD, it allowed Ethiopia to control it and Eritrea became irrelevant for decades

Isayas has acknowledged the mistake and is not letting Kenya take full control of IGAD.

This is my thinking on the subject.

p.s. I realize, for HGDEF followers, it’s difficult to entertain the idea of HGDEF making mistakes but to me this was a major blunder that set Eritrea interest decades back.

IGAD is the brainchild of Eritrea established in 1996 for the purpose of regional integration among Horn of Africa countries, but the organization was soon to be hijacked by Neo-colonial powers that turned into a destabilization tool for TPLF mercenaries invading member states with impunity.

According to its guiding principles, IGAD's chairmanship was supposed to rotate annually among the 8 member states, however the Neo-colonial powers using threats of withholding foreign aid to member states, they refused to transfer TPLF's chairmanship of IGAD for 10 years in order to marginalize Eritrea from other regional countries. Can you believe that? The agame slaves removed all quintessential African about the organization and made it a political tool for Neo-colonial rule in the Horn of Africa.

Eritrea's withdrew its IGAD membership in protest to TPLF's genocidal invasion of member state Somalia in 2006. We are our brother's keeper!

It should be recalled that, when then US Under Secretary of State for Africa, Jendayi Frazer, ordered Meles Zenawi to invade Somalia, according to Wikileaks, Meles responded by saying the order was "a god sent."
