I share your point. I said, "they were" (obviously as a conduit of their western enablers). Its open clear that they don't want to see the Alliance of Ethiopia (especially the Amhara) with Eritrea and try to create animosity between the two. I read the tplf cadres raising the Asab issue very frequently to create a sort of "anxiety" among eritreans. Fortunately, Eritreans don't give a SHlT to this. By the way, its not only tplf who fears the Amhara Eritrea strategic alliance. OLF camps (aka opp/opdo) doesn't want such alliance too. Eritrea should tighten the rop on tplf as they are mercenaries of the Enemies of both Ethiopia and Eritrea. ENDF is porous with Oromuma, I.e አማራን ብቻ ሳይሆን ኤርትራንም ሊያስበላ ይችላል።. I don't fault you for thinking of a "strategic alliance" between Eritrea and Amhara, as I'm fully aware of TPLF's ethnic federalism fiasco and its long-lasting side effects on its victims.

Just so you know, we Eritreans don't have any "strategic alliance" with the Amhara. We are A country, and countries form alliances with other countries, not regions (kilil). We see the Amhara region as an integral part of the Ethiopian union, therefore our relationship is with the government of Ethiopia that is representative of the whole country.
