Declaring Tigrians and Oromos as Junta and Shene was effectively used by lunatic Abiy to manipulate Ethiopians in joining or, at least, in keeping silent in the face of his mass killings.

Ethiopians’ reactions to Abiy’s massacres, although not totally absent, were depressing, to say the least, especially to Tigrians and Oromo.

If I have to say what the biggest weakness people have as people, it’s the lack of feeling for pain of one another. The capacity of people to tolerate Abiy’s appetite for killing in mass - in gruesome ways - by the not-yet targeted people and even other targeted people, is incomprehensible.

Today Abiy coined his next term - the Amara Shene. This is marking his next prey, the Amara. The Ethiopians, especially the Tigrians and Oromos, should speak against this loudly and fiercely.

Tigrians, Oromos and Amaras - wake up and stop the non sense horizontal wars, wars against one another. Start struggling against Abiy and his cabal, ideally together - as much as you are able.

I say ‘especially the Tigrians and Oromos’ because they both were on receiving end of it and they know firsthand what it’s like to be targets of Abiy once he had done the ground work of dehumanizing them in the eyes of Ethiopians as mere Junta/ Shene.

If allowed, Abiy will continue to bring starvation and drones to the rest of Ethiopia and Eritrea.

May the new year bring sanity to Ethiopia and Eritrea!
