Tarik did Eritrea become a country in 1991 or 1993? WEEY GUUD

Post by BigBreak » 23 Dec 2022, 14:40

If anyone says Eritrea since 1991 has been an independent country then they cannot say that Somaliland isn't an independent country too, with Somaliland restoring her independence on 18th May 1991 (six days before Eritrea became independent for the first time)

Nobody recognised Eritrea independence before 1993 so does that mean Eritrea became independent in only 1993? I don't think so

Bigbreak aka small brain break agame:My Eritrea became independent on May 24,1991 aka that's z day when our mighty ur nightmare EPLF aka SHABIA entered & liberated Beautiful Asmara. Independence day is when you control z capital city moran. EIther way agame boy, Here when our beautiful flag was recognized and raised @ z UN 4 z first time. BTW:stop trying 2 compare my Eritrea with ur somaliland agame boy. or should i call u hawdian aka zack aka......Nice try though agame boy. Somaliland will always be part of somalia deal with it. We Eritreans were forced 2 be federated with ethiopia, that's why we fought and won & did our referendum and got our independence. It's called SOMALI land aka z land of somalia.

The Independence Day of Eritrea is one of the most important public holidays in the country. It is observed on May 24 every year. On this day in 1991, Eritrean People's Liberation Front forces moved into the capital Asmara, reinstating independence, following a 30-year war against the Ethiopian military regime. Eritrea Independence Day is a national holiday, with workers given a day off.

Independence Day is always celebrated on May 24 of every year in Eritrea. But the festivities are a week-long leading up to May 24 so it is referred to as “Independence Week’’or qinyat natsnet. The week-long festivities are marked by carnivals, street performances, sporting competitions, cycling races, musical concerts, parades, tent parties, much flag-waving and many displays of patriotism.

During this special week, Eri-TV's schedule is sprinkled with documentaries from the armed struggle for independence to remind the population of the heavy sacrifice paid to liberate the country and defend it.

Eritrea's Independence Day is also celebrated by the diaspora communities who live outside the country. The diaspora communities tend to celebrate it on weekends to attract a larger crowd. There are many concerts, picnics, barbecues, and outdoor festivities at various parks across the globe stretching from Australia to California and all around the world.

Concerts, carnivals and street performances are always the big draw during Independence Week. In 2016, Eritrea's landmark Silver Jubilee Anniversary, bands and orchestras from such diverse nations as Germany, Turkey, Uganda, South Africa, Bolivia, China, Japan, Chile, Sudan, United States and Australia performed in Asmara. The Malian Superstar, Habib Koite, has also been known to perform to capacity crowds in Asmara's theaters during Independence Week.

Independence Day is one of three important state-related holidays in Eritrea. The others are Martyrs' Day and September 1st Revolution Day.[1]

Tarik Somaliland has more right to be independent then Eritrea since Somaliland used to be an independent country before uniting with failed state neighbour Somalia in July 1st 1960. Eritrea was NEVER an independent country before May 24th 1991 hence why Eritrea was secessionist whilst Somaliland left the failed unratified union with Somalia to become independent for A SECOND TIME in May 18th 1991

Don't worry agame Tarik Somaliland will get official International recognition of her independence whilst tyrant Isaias makes a new federation between Eritrea and Ethiopia

Well said Tarik although I disagree that Zack and hawdian are agames.

I wonder why the kebessa hate you, they use you as their punching bag. They are all after you, they gang up to attack you.

From experience, I know here there are only 2 or 3 genuine eritreans and at the moment, they are maintaining low profile. The rest you see here are a bunch of amiches, offspring of torserawit and some even shamelessly apply proudly tigrean town nicks such as hawzien or tembien or god knows and posing as eritreans.
