Is this Abiy's "master plan"?

Post by justo » 14 Dec 2022, 15:39

The controversial Addis "master plan" was what brought woyane to its knees and got it running for cover to its tribal enclave. Even after woyane belatedly scrapped the initiative, the spark that ignited deadly violence morphed into the qeero and fanno movements, and the rest is history.

Is this what is happening to Abiy, is this Abiy's "master plan", are we seeing a new movement morphing out of the initially timid protests? Abiy has to adjust course before things get out of hand

Abi used the flag issue to ensure the master plan of addis ababa under the name shagar

Basically distract the masses with flag and anthem issues while the agenda is not payed attention too also have lawlessness break out to in certain areas

This is the real face of Abi

He holds cards of war, tribalism, genocide, convince and confuse, peace, oppression, choas you name it

If the movement finds its leaders, it will surely unseat Abiy and his PP from power. coup is eminent if the protest continues. But i doubt if there is any leader behind this. Ezema or Balderas can take the opportunity. Ezema is showing signs and that is why OPDO will eat it in the coming few days/weeks

Brother Justo,

The whole Addis-Ababa thing is very complex and honestly I am having hard time to comprehend what is going on. Assuming that Addis Ababa is an independent state as well as the capital city of Ethiopia, I don't see any problem with teaching Oromo language in schools. In fact, all Ethiopian languages should be taught in schools because it is a blessing to be multi-lingual speaker. I don't see any problem with singing Ethiopian National Anthem in Oromo or Somali or Tigrigna or other languages either...

Here are the things that I honestly don't understand:

1. Why do students in Addis schools have to be forced to sing Oromo Regional Anthem if Addis Ababa is an independent state as well as the capital city of Ethiopia? I thought its analogy is like forcing students in Washington DC to sing a California State Anthem ?

2. Why does Oromia Regional Flag have to be waving in Addis Ababa Schools or any governmental organization for that matter? Does it mean that flags from other regions can also wave in governmental organization in Addis Ababa?

I am not taking any side here. I am just asking something that I am having hard time to understand... You are welcome to enlighten me such as the motive or reasons behind what is going on in Addis..

Short answer: the city admin and the federal system are controlled by the "finfinne kegna" group. Logic doesn't work

You raise important questions, brother Hawzen, Abiy seems to have understood this and seems to be taking the issue head on. Perceptions matter and the "master plan" is a historical precedent that Abiy needs to reflect upon
